Meeting the new MCO

Having made her arrangement with Olivia, Freya needed to introduce herself to the new Marine CO General Dartt. Even though she wasn’t officially working, she was still a member of the marine contingent and as such she needed to meet Dartt. With that in mind she headed aboard the Kearsage and made for Dartt’s Ready Room.

Sighing, "Enter." She said as she looked up to see who it was.

Walking into the room Freya stopped at the desk, saluted and stood to attention as would be expected of when greeting a senior military officer. “Staff Sergeant Freya Ross requesting permission to speak with you ma’am.”

Raises an eyebrow as she could see her condition, "Permission granted." She said as she looked at her. She must be General Ross's wife.

Freya stood more at ease. “Thank you General. I was talking to Lieutenant O’Riley regards her assignment here as marine medic should we have to ship out to Starbase 400. To cut a long story short, I’ll be temporarily taking Olivia’s place as medic should we be required to ship out”

"Actually, I have read your file and you are not cleared for duty and you will not be accompanying us back to Starbase 400 until we take the Starabse." She said as she was actually agreeing with her ex-husbands orders. "I am not lifting Hurd's orders they stand." She added looking at her.

“I wasn’t asking you to Ma’am, I simply wanted to be useful.” Freya sighed. “I know having a pregnant woman onboard constitutes a risk but I’m more than capable of handling medical duties in Sickbay. All I’m asking for is the chance.”

She raised an eyebrow at the boldness of the Sergeant, "I understand you want to be useful, but I will not be responsible for anything happening to you out there. I don't think your husband would appreciate it either." She said as she looked at her. "Plus, with General Ross staying behind with the Saratoga I am sure he will need your support with him." She said looking at her.

Freya nodded. “Yes Ma’am. I guess I should talk with Olivia and let her know she’ll be needed after all.”

At that very moment the door chime rang.

She was about to answer Freya when the door chime she sighed, "Enter." She said as she watched the doors open.

Olivia had heard that Freya had been seen entering Dartt’s Office, guessing that it was concerning their swap around she’d decided it best to be there to explain herself. Walking into Dartt’s Office she stood to attention. “Lieutenant Olivia O’Riley General, I thought I’d best come to see you ma’am.” She nodded to Freya.

Raising an eyebrow, looking at Freya. "Well looks like you won't have to go far to tell her Sergeant." Jewel replied looking at both.

Freya offered Olivia an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry Olivia but I’m not permitted to take your place.”

Olivia nodded. “I shouldn’t really have agreed to you swapping with me in the first place.” She looked to Dartt. “My Apologies General, I will try and find someone to look after the twins if I’m needed.”

“How about us?” Freya looked at Olivia. “It’ll be good practice for me and my husband.” She smiled. “In the event of you needing to ship out the twins would be safe with us.”

Olivia’s smile beamed. “If you’re sure?”

Freya nodded. “Of course I’m sure!” She looked to Dartt. “With your permission General I’ll head on my way.”

Olivia nodded. “With your permission General, I’ll be on my way as well.”

"Dismissed," Jewel said with a smile. "Oh Sergeant, make sure the General doesn't hurt himself anymore then he already has." Jewel said with a smile.

“Yes ma’am” Freya smiled before heading on her way.
