Mission: Episode 106 – Stalemate
Location: USS Kearsage, Holodeck
Timeline: MD4 1850h

Sighing after the two had left and she began to fight against holographic Klingons with her Bat'leth, she had a lot of anger that built up and she needed a useful way to work that off. Wearing her normal workout clothes that allowed her to move freely without any restraints as her uniform would.

Mike had beamed to the Kearsarge a short time before. Like his previous meeting with Ross aboard the Saratoga, he wanted to meet with Jewel about the upcoming operation to retake Starbase 400. Colonel Lennox told him that Jewel was in Holodeck Two working out some frustration.

Mike tapped the panel by the door and walked in. He saw Jewel battling a couple of Klingons and he stood back and watched for a moment.

"You shouldn't drop you elbow like that." Mike said with a smirk.

For some reason she didn't hear the door and with the sound of Mike's voice startled her were she jumped and the Bat'leth fell from her hands "Computer freeze program," She said with irritation in her voice. "God Damn it Mike!" She yelled looking at him her breathing heavy and sweating.

Mike narrowed his eyes. "If I hadn't of said anything, he would have knocked the weapon out of your hand and had a clear shot to your abdomen."

Mike removed his baldric and laid it gently down on the holographic ground. "Computer, Mek'leth." The Klingon short sword appeared beside his baldric. Mike picked it up and make a couple of swings. "Care to go another round?"

Jewel grinned, "Challenging me huh?" Jewel grinned picking up her Bat'leth. "Should we re-engage the safeties for ya?" She teased with a laugh as she got into position. She watched him as she moved, with a grin.

"Well, I was meaning going against the holoKlingons again, but if you want a real challenge." Mike settled into a fighting stance, wishing he'd changed out of his uniform first. Once ready, he locked eyes with Jewel, "Defend yourself."

He gave a slight thrust forward, then pulled up in a slashing motion to feel out how she was going to defend.

Watching him she moved her Bat'leth to block his Mek'leth and moved it away, she then made a move towards him with a grin. Though her moves are starting to show her exhaustion, she's been working out for the last couple hours about one of those hours was training a historian.

Mike deflected the bat'leth, "Watch your elbow" he said again.

She felt really off, "jegh jIH" (I give up) she replied in Klingon as she dropped her Bath'Leth and dropped to her knees breathing rather heavy. "rematch vIneH HeghDI' juH wej," (I want a rematch when we get home) She also said in Klingon.

Mike dropped the mek'leth as he related. "ghorgh ghuS" (When you're ready) He replied in Klingon. "Be happy I'm your brother-in-law and not an enemy." He added with a smile.

"Get some rest, we're retaking Starbase 400 soon and I need everyone ready." Mike said.

She nodded, "For that I am grateful." She replied as she stood back up, "So what's your plan Mike? I am concerned about us Marines." Jewel replied with concern on her face. "I heard on the way here that Hawkeye Island has been recommissioned. Couldn't we request some back up?" she asked looking at him.

Sighing with her head hung low trying to fight back tears, "We have to win..." Jewel softly said. "But it's gonna take more then what we have..." Jewel added.

"Trust me, we have help on the way. And a plan." Mike replied with a smirk.

She nodded looking at him, "I'll be glad when this is all over. Nothing has gone right for me over this past year. I just want to be home." Jewel replied as she picked up her Bat'leth as it wasn't a holographic one but her own that she always took with her. "Computer end program," She replied as they both exited the holodeck.

"Goodnight Mike," she added as she parted ways.
