The 181st maintained patrol of the quested ships headed to Starbase 23. The main goal was to provide their safe arrival. For newly promoted Lt Col Daniel a chance to make contact with his little sister.

" SS Roane you are drifting, readjust course and heading," Chuck ordered as the cruiser vectored off .

[ So sorrry, the ship ahead is waking.] the Caitian yowled from the Roane.

Reverse thrusting he confired the ships waking and assigned the Roane a new course line to follow.

Fleeing the threat on Starbase 200, the fugitive fleet set a course for Star base 23. The higher ground of hope.

Lt Commander Carol Daniel-Ward of station security was not stressed as others were despite the added issues of guarding the arrivals. She had been in security for 10 years and knew the ropes.

" Move it folks, straight lines, straight ....Ferengis to the left, Hiraxians to the right," Carol directed.

The base was more than crazy but like her big brother Carol thrived in chaos.

As promenade security chief Commander Ward would be escorting the ships hailing from Star base 400.
