New home, new start

Sitting eating her breakfast Olivia smiled as she thought back to the previous evening.

~ The Previous evening, 1930 hrs ~

With work over Olivia had put the twins to bed early, she and Tim had been like ships passing in the night lately since arriving onboard both too tired to lay and talk. Now she lay cuddled up in Tim’s arms enjoying the closeness of them being together. She loved cuddling up naked in his arms after lovemaking, it made her feel all the more special. She smiled as she lifted her head long enough to give him a romantic kiss before lying her head back on his shoulder. “I love this Imzadi, being cuddled up naked with you.”

Tim held her close it was moments like this that he always cherished, “I do to, it feels so nice to be welcomed to this station. I’m hoping we have found a permanent home.”

"I think we have Imzadi" Olivia smiled warmly. "This is a good place to raise our children, more stable than a starship life at least."

“I agree, a starship really isn’t a place to raise a family, and being here I’ll have to ability to join the starships here on missions from time to time .”

"I have a longer meeting planned with Lieutenant Monroe when she gets back from being off station." Olivia smiled. "She's pretty nice and a mother herself."

Tim smiles, “that’s good to know, you’ll have things to talk about right off and you always seem to be able to adjust to new situations and now that we are here I’m sure we will have more time to spend as a family.”

"We should, I plan on having a work schedule that will allow me to spend the right balance of time between home with you and the girls and my duties. I'm sure Lieutenant Monroe will understand my need to do that."

Tim smiled, “I’m sure she’ll understand your needs, that’s why being on a star base is so much better for us.”

"I've been looking around the station, there's a nursery that has trained staff who are parents themselves. There's a school and everything so it's put my mind to rest a little." Olivia smiled warmly.

Listening intently at Olivia’s excitement he smiled. It been a while since he had seen this much excitement in her. The I had a chance to meet Commander Croesus, after showing me he schematics of the Station and the ship assigned here and their repair list I know that I’ll always have plenty to do. We even had a ship somehow come off it’s mooring and we had to take a worker bee out to catch the umbilical before it snapped off as well.”

"Wow! Certainly sounds like you've been keeping busy." Olivia grinned. "I got to briefly meet Freya Ross, she's the previous marine medic and the Counsellor assigned to the marines. She's a pretty nice and expecting her first baby."

Tim smiled, “sounds like you have found some common elements here and that’s great. Having our twins raised on the station amoung other children around their own age will be great.”

She smiled and shook her head as the familiar sound of two hungry babies filled the air. "I'll be right back" She slid out of bed to go and sort the bottles and fetch the twins. Walking back into the bedroom she sat down ready to feed their son. "There's a bottle warming if you'd like to feed Emily?" She grinned knowing how much TJ loved to help with feeding the twins.

Walking over to pick Emily up he smiled as he looked at her she looked so much like her mother. James walked over and grabbed the bottle and started feeding Emily. Looking down as she ate he said, “I’ve also notified my grandmother of our new posting. I’m just waiting to hear back from her.”

"That's great, when you do why don't you ask her to visit us sometime?" She gently cradled their son as he breast fed.

Nodding as he held on to Emily he said, “I’ll do that, want us to be more settled before I do considering this is a new place for us too.”

"Did I tell you I'm working as a Counsellor for a few weeks? Ariana asked me to stand in for her as she's going to be away, plus Freya Ross is off station as well so we're short handed. It's only temporary then I'm back to being an aide again."

Smiling Tim said, “that’s great, so you’ll be busy for a bit while they are off the station. I’ve been asked to lead a repair crew to help get the ship that are here ready for them to leave. Several need major repairs and Croesus has been thrilled that I’ve come on, so he’s thrown me right into everything.”

Olivia smiled. "I guess that's good that we're both getting established in our new lives here. I think we were right to come here TJ, we're going to be happy here I'm sure of it."

Kissing Olivia Tim replied, “I agree that we will be happy here, and hopefully this will be our last move.” Looking at his family Tim smiled he had never been this happy before, but thankfully everything was working out for both of them, and now he was looking forward to the adventures that were yet to come.
