Timeline: As the Yorktown launched

Acting-Ensign K`Wor was on duty in Ops at Tactical 1. He noted the departure of the USS Yorktown, as well as two incoming freighters. Otherwise all was quiet.

The young man kept an eye on the sensors, watching sweeps of the Romulan border, Triangle, and part of the colonies in the soon to be re-established Romulan Neutral Zone. It felt good for him to be receiving more responsibilities, more duties to preform. It meant he was doing a good job and the crew and command staff could depend on him. That's what made what was to come in the next few months even harder...

Soon, K`Wor would be leaving for Starfleet Academy. It was already going to be a major change for him. Leaving 'home', his family and friends. Sure, it brought new opportunities and challenges, and K`Wor wasn't backing down from any of that. He just had the feeling that he would be letting them down in some way with his leaving. That was the last thing he wanted to do, let his friends and family down.

Still, he knew that if we went as planning, did well in his classes, he'd return to them soon, and possibly do more for them in the long run!

As he read though the updated sensor logs, he realized how much he'd miss SB400 while at the Academy...and wondered if he'd be reassigned there after graduation...
