Yorktown Heading Out

Captain K`Temoc was already onboard the Defiant class vessel. He was alone on the bridge, sitting at Tactical I, looking over the data one more time regarding the missing Sydney class runabouts and their...special cargo. Sensor data, telemetry, power signatures, everything and anything that might help him and his team locate them faster.

A Starfleet comm and tracking station on Archer IV had monitored the ships passing by the system several days after they had been reported missing. At the time, no thought was given to the Starfleet transports passing by...it was on a standard shipping route. Only yesterday did Captain Mark stumble across the log making mention of the ships passing though the area, and on a course toward the Boyden system...the site of one of the Federation colonies affected by the re-establishment of the Romulan Neutral Zone.

It would take the Yorktown just over a day to arrive in the Boyden system from SB400. Question was, should the ship travel cloaked and keep it's presence in the area a secret, only to possibly cause additional distrust from the colonist if she had to decloak? Or, move into the area visible and risk the ships being moved once the Yorktown was spotted. It was a tricky situation, very delicate...one false move could escalate things. Starfleet wanted to keep the colonists as content as possible, but finding the missing Sydneys was top priority.

K`Temoc stood up from Tactical as the doors to the Bridge opened. Colonel Sosuke, Lieutenant Commander Smith, Ensign Darr, and Chief Petty Officer O'Reily entered the Bridge, taking up their positions. K`Temoc welcomed each aboard, by name.

"I know we all would like a little extra time here before heading off again...but duty calls." The Captain smiled. "We've all been briefed on the situation brewing in the Neutral Zone area, as well as the situation with the missing Sydney class runabouts. Our job is to find and recover those ships, while doing everything in our power not to further disrupt the situation with the colonies. It's not going to be easy, but that's why they called us."

K`Temoc walked back to the command chair and sat down, "Colonel, take us out."
