Mission: Mission 78 - Colonial Uprising

Lee had finally finished his report from the mission to Earth and back included the fight with the Klingons and the loss of a couple fighters and a couple crewmen when the Saratoga was damaged. Lee had made his way to the Admiral's office and pushed the door button.

"Enter." Mike called as the door chimmed...

Lee walked into the Admiral's office with the report. Lee saluted then handed the Admiral with data PADD, "Here is my report sir of when we went to Talos IV to retrieve Commodore Pike's body along with heading to Earth. Also on there is the damage of the Saratoga, the loss of a couple crewmen and the loss of a couple fighters."

"Thank you Colonel. Please, have a seat." Mike took the PADD and looked over the report, but decided to ask a question that he knew wouldn't be in the official report.

"If I may ask, what was your family's reaction to the Commodore finally returning home?"

Lee let out a bit of a sigh: "Well most of my family that I did get the chance to talk to while was on Earth where glad to finally have the Commodore return home. I know the others would have been too. My grand father would have been proud that I was able to bring him back home so he may rest."

Mike nodded. He knew it was not only a proud time for Pike's family, but also a sad time as well...even after so many years. "I'm sure the Commodore would of been proud to have you return him home Lee."

Lee smiled a little:"Am sure he would have been proud sir. Sometimes just can be frustrating for all of these families for them where their loved ones don't get to return home but instead someone else from Starfleet is bringing their bodies back."

Bremer nodded....

It was a somber note, but nothing else needed to be sad. Lee and Mike both nodded as Lee left Mike's office.
