Mission: Episode 99 - Exordium / Epilogue
Location: Star Base 400
Timeline: MD02 1900

It was not uncommon for a squad to be on patrol for a starbase and for the CAG it was a daily custom to take first watch. Gray squad, as he now called it headed to the border of the Kaleb IV sector. With the recent Reman incident this was done 4 times a day.

" This is Wolf one, deploying sector marker buoy 1 thru 5. Squad 2 follow suit." Major McDaniel ordered.

The deploment of the telemetry devices would avail a quicker response time in sensors should cloaked or uncloaked vessels get too close to the base.

" Fox 2 to Wolf 1....all sectors have been deployed."
" Roger that...."
A few seconds later an all green read in his board indicating all systems were nominsl.

Cag and his squad were placed on stand by as the sensor grid was immediately breached by the unknown claoaked vessel.

" Wolf 1 to Fox 2 engage!"

The plan was for the new system to spot and disable the vessel using a series of EMP pulses. But on this mission the system failed. Rendering the system,a failure. But there was always the second line of defense.
The squad of sabres immediately engaged the assailant and secured it with the grapplers.

" Stealth base has been secured Star base." the Cag reported.
