Mission: Episode 98 - A Raid on Peace
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD1, 1545hrs

"The mission is simple, we go in and we ask the doctor," Zeke said, as he looked to Anna. She gave him a funny stare back.

"Ya right, you just don't go into the doctors, and say I am thinking of having a baby, please clear me to have one," Anna said, still a little on mend about having a baby. She knew Zeke, wanted to get serious with her, and they had been together for over two years. She was thinking, maybe getting married did not seem so scary. They were talking about having a baby.

"Do you want to have a baby?" Zeke asked Anna, his eyes were sincere. So was his compassion for his long term girlfriend. They had been together, for a few years, having a baby and getting married seemed like the logical thing. He was so nervous when he asked her. He was very grateful when Anna said yes. He just hoped, they were not moving to fast.

"We're not getting any younger, and I have always wanted a family of my own," Anna said, in her cute little Irish accent. She leaned in to hug him. She was really nervous but in a good way.

The two of them walked into sickbay and had a few tests drawn. They were told they could have a baby, and a pretty good chance, that Anna would go full term. Anna was still on the biobed when Zeke walked over towards her. He reached in to hug her tightly. She did the same thing. "I guess we can try now?" Anna said, still a little scared. It was two big steps they were taking together, to move into the role of a family.

Zeke put his arm around Anna, "I know we can. We can worry about that later on tonight, today lets celebrate, and just have a fun day. We have the day off, let's take advantage of it."

Anna smiled, as she returned his hug, pulling herself closer to him. "I like the way you think, any ideas, on what we should do?" She asked, with a big smile on her face. She was a little nervous and distracting their minds, was probably the best call.

"There is a nice art gallery I have been wanting to check out, its called "Serenity." Ezekiel said with a smile on his face, he was pretty sure that Anna would love to see the art gallery with him.

"I have been wanting to go there myself," Anna said, with a big grin. They started to make their way to the Art Gallery.

A few minutes had passed.

Zeke walked in holding Anna's hand, he had never been to this gallery. His eyes were installed glued on a centerpiece. He had no idea what he was looking at. He just held Anna close.

Vox, who had been lurking in the back of the gallery, meticulously restoring an old sculpture he had done five years ago, suddenly looked up over the top of the piece and noticed......visitors.

He put down his tools and put on his brightly colored jacket, which would not look out of place on a Ferengi bartender, and headed over to the couple.

He stood next to them, as they stared at the centerpiece in the gallery.

"It's a usual piece. Created in 2357 by an artist called Dorvan Uzneer, whose origins are as mysterious as the piece. What its called is the reason it is the centerpiece actually, it's called Serenity. " Vox said.

"It's remarkable," Anna said, with excitement in her eyes. She could not believe the level of detail on it. This Dorvan Uzneer, really had talent.

"I agree, the level of craftsmanship is remarkable," Zeke said, as he took a closer look, but did not touch the centerpiece.

"I'm sorry, where are my manners. I am Raekwon Vox, owner of the Serenity Gallery. " He said with a smile.

"Ezekiel Bagwell, my friends call me Zeke." He said, with a big smile on his face. He was looked over to Anna.

"Anna Woodhouse, nice to meet you Mister Vox." She said as she reached out to shake his hand.

"Hello," he replied, shaking her hand.

"Mister Vox, you have an impressive collection of artwork, we were hoping to have a look around," Anna said, hoping he would be okay with that.

"This is about a third of my collection. I have another third aboard my personal ship which is in the hanger on this station. I have not had time to bring some of it to the gallery as the hanger is having work done and I just can't get to my ship at the moment. " Vox replied.

"Work is going that well, maybe you should hire yourself an assistant or two." Zeke said, as he looked around. He was trying to see if he had any support staff.

"I suppose I should. I do have help now and then but nothing permanent." Vox replied.

"Is all of this for show, or do you sell any of your artwork?" Anna asked Vox, as she started to look at a couple of pieces.

"Most of what you see is for sale. If there is a red marker on the description of the artwork it means its not for sale. " Vox replied.

"I love this painting. How much for it?" Anna said with a big grin on her face. She was eager, to get this painting in their shared quarters.

"That piece is currently 3 Bars of Gold Pressed Latinum as I am selling it for a Ferengi gentleman," Vox replied.

"What can you tell me about the painting?" Anna asked, making sure the painting was worth the 3 bars of latinum.

"This piece was painted by a Bajoran artist in 2362. Its a paint of the Orb of Wisdom. There not many paintings of the Orb which is why it has a fair price attached. " Vox replied.

Ezekiel could see in her eyes, that she wanted it. And he loved to make her happy. He smiled and nodded yes, that he liked it too. "I'll take it." Anna said with a big grin on he face. Even though she was not Bajoran, she still liked it.

"Sold to the lovely lady. I can have it delivered to your quarters if you wish. Have you the 3 bars on you ? Vox asked.

Anna grabbed her bag, and pulled out three bars. She had ten bars in bag. She had planned to purchase an item later on today. But this looked like a good time. "Of course, here you go." She said, with a big smile on her face.

Taking the bars, Vox smiled. "Excellent, would you like me to deliver it to your quarters and as a thank you, are you permitted a small glass of Tralla?"

"Delivery to our quarters, would be lovely." Anna said, with a big grin on her face. She was given a datapad, to put their information on. The information she provided, was room assignment, and on what deck.

"Great. I will arrange this for you. " Vox replied. Then, the small device attached to his belt bleeped and flashed. "One moment," he said to the couple.

He takes off the device and taps the button. "Hello Tenaran"

'Updates are completed Rae. I thought you would wish to be informed.' The female voice advised from the device.

"Thank you Tenaran. Rae out" He smiled. "Can I be of any other help to you both?" he said smiling at the couple.

"No thank you, that painting is going to be perfect. We won't hold you up any longer. Have a good day Mister Vox." Anna said, as she grabbed for Zeke's hand.

"It was no trouble at all. It was a pleasure to see you both. Thanks for coming. " Vox replied.
