Mission: Mission 77 - No Time for the Dishonored
Location: USS Pegasus, Bridge
Timeline: Current

ON:

As the Task Force neared the last known position of the USS Aegean, the ships dropped out of warp and maintained formation...

"Captain, red alert. Chief, take us in, three-quarter impulse." Bremer ordered.

"Captain, sensors are picking up debris ahead, but it's not enough to account for a destroyed ship." Ensign K`Wor reported.

"Keep actively sweeping the area, check for any residual traces of weapons fire." Captain K'Temoc requested.

"Admiral, there is no evidence of asteroid or other special phenomenon in the area." The Ensign at Science One reported.

"Sir, I'm picking up traces of weapons fire, the signature is Klingon." Captain Harrison reported.

"Klingon?" Mike replied as he stood from his chair. "Any other ships on sensors?"

"No sir...wait one...three vessels decloking directly ahead. One Negh'Var type assault cruiser and two B'rel class Birds of Prey. Their shields are up, weapons hot!" Harrison reported, excitement in her voice.

Mike turned to look at the screen, "Lock weapons, but hold. Relay that to the other ships, then hail them."

A moment later, an older Klingon male appeared on the screen. His insignia identified him as General. "Federation ship, I'm General Tarq of the IKS Mak'bar. Why do you have a weapons lock on us?"

"General, I'm Admiral Mike K'Wor Bremer of the Federation Starship USS Pegasus. We're responding to a distress call from one of our vessels. Sensors indicate weapons fire and some debris of the USS Aegean...what weapons fire has a Klingon signature. Now, you decloak and ships up and weapons online." Bremer replied, annoyed.

"Hmm, we're here by order of Chancellor Martok himself, tracking down a criminal. His last known course was though this area of space. It's possible his ships attacked your missing ship." Tark replied. "I see you wear the symbol of the House of Martok on your Ha'quj, so you can verify our mission with him!" Tarq replied.

"I will. But now, lower your shields and disarm your weapons." Bremer ordered.

As Tarq nodded in return, Harrison spoke up, "They have disarmed sir."

"Have our ship maintain Yellow Alert and continue sweeping the area for the USS Aegean. Standard search patters." Mike said to Harrison.

Bremer then looked back to the screen, "General, who's the criminal?"

"Toral" Tarq replied with a smirk.

"What? He was being held on Rue Penthe, how did he escape?" Mike asked.

"Apparently, he had inside help, as well as friends on the outside. The House of Duras is still powerful, despite their...set backs. They were able to procure a ship, then set out toward Federation space. We do not known why." Tarq said. "I'm sending you our data on him now."

"Why wasn't the Federation informed?" Bremer asked, angered.

"That would be a question for the Chancellor, Admiral." Tarq replied.

Mike paused a moment, taking his seat again. "General, you and your vessels are welcome to form up on us, I have a feeling we're after the same person."

Tarq smirked again, "We will ride at your side Admiral, Qapla'!"

As the comm was closed, the screen flashed back to open space and the Klingon ships as they moved into formation. The Mak'bar lined up behind the Pegasus, and the Birds of Prey flanked the larger Klingon ship.

"Pegasus to all ships, continue search." Mike ordered over comm to the vessels in the Task Force. At least now, they know who they were looking for....
