Mission: Episode 98 - A Raid on Peace
Location: SB400 Promenade, 'Kitty O'Shea's'
Timeline: MD01, 1300 hours

As a boy, Liam O'Connor had loved to watch his father work. To create things or fix them, even just tinker with them to try and fathom the inner workings and make something better. It was when his father had always seemed the most content. Just him, a tool box and an idea.

It became something of an escape for him, yet he never minded company. Over the years they worked on so many projects together - big and small. Culminating in the restoration of a Harley Davidson Roadster in the garage behind the family home.

What he would not give to be sitting in that garage, or anywhere for that matter, right now. It would be far better than trying to study blueprints while his aunt and uncle argued about the colour green. From too bright, or too dark or 'too blueish'.... nothing seemed to suit. Both of them just out to be as stubborn as one another.

"Not to belittle all the plans you've had drawn up," Liam spoke up, momentarily brining a stop to the debate, "but are you sure you want to change anything at all?"

Both of them looked at each other, silent for a second before his uncle spoke up, "well, I'm perfectly happy with it as it is, but Kitty here, not so much."

"Me?!" Kitty fumed. "I'd be happier with a new kitchen!"

And then it began again. Just this time with a different subject.

"Save your breath," Sara, one of the bar staff murmoured as she walked passed Liam, collecting empty plates and glasses. "They argue over everything these days. If you want, you can help me clear the tables and then take me to lunch?"

Liam hesitated, glancing towards the bar, where Kitty was still speaking her mind. "I'd love to but I don't think Kitty would approve."

"She's not asking, I'm not telling and it's only lunch," Sara told him as she handed him the tray. "Off you go, kitchen with those. Take too long and you'll be buying me dinner instead."

She gave him a playful nudge towards the kitchen and he shook his head, carefully carrying the tray while the bickering continued behind him. Now that he thought about it, lunch with Sara was definately a step up.
