Time to go, I guess

Mission: Episode 97 - Cultural Exchange
Location: Personal quarters, USS Essex
Timeline: MD2 16:00

Andre entered their quarters to see his wife getting ready to go. He looked over at her with a sort of 'do I have to', look.

Dalenna heard him but didn't look up, "I'm almost ready." She looked over at him, "Are you?" As soon as she asked, she saw that familiar expression, "Uh oh, I know that look. Is there something that you'd rather be doing?"

Andre shrugged, "You know how much I hate this sort of thing. We go visit, they track us like lab rats monitoring our every move and word. It just drives me up the wall that we still have to play these games. As for your question, That was a loaded question wife, and you know it". He smiled at the thought Dalenna's question brought to mind.

He went over to the closet and started getting stuff out. He turned and looked at Dalenna, "That's a point, are we in civies or uniform, such was my enthusiasm for this trip I forgot to find out"?

Dalenna shrugged, "Not really sure but I'm wearing my civvies. I'm off duty and I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb."

Andre stared into his closet and started pulling out a few civilian outfits. Quickly putting them into his holdall, he looked over at his wife, "I guess that will do. I don't have many civilian clothes, so I will have to go shopping if I need anything." He paused for a second trying to look serious, "I wonder what sort of shopping there will be on Cardassia, I mean their styles are going to be a lot different to ours, and we haven't been 'friends' for very long. Could be interesting to find out".

"I hope you are joking. I'm not too keen on their wardrobe taste. But if you really want to go clothes shopping, I'll join you." She moved towards the door, "I'm ready when you are.'

Andre laughed, "Yes, I am joking.". He walked over to where his wife was standing, "Come on then, lets go see what the Cardassians have in store for us."

With that the pair of them walked out the door, and as the door closed behind them the lights automatically switched off leaving the room in darkness.
