Being selected as a pallbearer was an honour, but being assigned to the late Commodore Pike's pallbearer was an honour beyond belief.

For James, he relished the moment and took it with pride.

After the funeral concluded, he set his hand on the casket and wondered if he will be as great of a captain as he was.

James headed to a bench where he sat down and pondered in deep thought.

Admiral Bremer saw him and headed towards the captain. James looked up at the admiral.

"What's your take," James said. "Do you think they'll be a finer captain than Pike?"

The admiral smiled and nodded.

James smirked. "I read his exploits but he must have been one hell of a captain," he then changed the subject. "Admiral, I read the bulletin on Hawking. I still can't believe he turn his back to Starfleet and do this. What happened to him?"
