Mission: Episode 96 - A Visitor From the Past
Location: Quarters of Dustin Reynolds
Timeline: MD 1, 2100 hrs

Dustin was sitting in his quarters, when he heard a knock at his door. That was a little odd, he thought. Who would be knocking on his door, at this hour. He looked to the door, and debated about yelling out, who is it? He decided against that course of action. He was curious, who was at his door. He was not expecting any company on this evening. The staff meeting had completed for the night.

Aubrey was not sure what she was doing? What in the hell was she thinking. Dustin was so serious. A little to serious. However, she wanted to know why he was not at the bar, with the rest of the senior staff. She wondered if Dustin heard his knock.

Dustin opened the door to the his quarters, and he saw her. "What can I do for you Miss Miller?" Dustin asked with a curious look on his face. He was really surprised that Aubrey was at his door. What did this mean? Did she like him?

"Please call me Aubrey." She said with a nervous smile. She was starting to debate, if this was a good idea. He seemed to be a little annoyed, that she was at his door.

"Okay Aubrey, what can I do for you?" Dustin asked her again. He was very curious, why she was at his doorway. Typically this meant, that the girl wanted to come in. But he was not sure if he wanted her to come in. First he was going to see what she said. Maybe she had valid reason to disturb him.

"Straight to the point, right." Aubrey said, stalling for a moment. She noticed that Dustin remained silent. She took a breath and went on. "Why are not at the lounge with the rest of the senior staff?" She asked.

"Not really my thing." Dustin said, without offering any reason. His answer was direct, and to the point. He felt a little dumb, at this moment. For a moment, he thought she might actually like him. She was here to see why he was being anti-social.

Aubrey really had nothing else to say, and with him being very direct, she knew it was time to go. She started to turn around. "Understood, sorry to disturb your evening." Aubrey said, as she continued to slowly turn around. Trying to make it obvious that she was starting to leave.

"Your not disturbing my night." Dustin said, feeling a little embrassed. He was not trying to be rude. The lounge was not really his thing. And she did make an effort to come down and see him.

Aubrey was a little surprised by his response. She smiled as she turned around. "I was going to head back to the lounge. You wanna come, I know its not your thing. But come on, you have to admit, it has to be better than staying home alone. The night is young." Aubrey said, hoping she convinced him.

Dustin was not sure about this. Against his better judgement, he said. "Sure." He said as he zipped up his shirt, that he had unzipped a little while ago. They started to walk to the lounge, as the scene fades.
