Mission: Episode 96 - A Visitor From the Past
Location: SB400 Corridors to Airlock 24
Timeline: MD 1, 1330 Hours

Location Starbase 400

Zeke was heading back to the USS Falcon, he needed to prepare his crew for their mission. They could launch at a moments notice, and needed to be ready. He was working out the details in his mind. As he thought about what the Captain had said.

Flashback Kā€™Temoc: "I do have a mission for you." K'Temoc said to Bagwell. I'd like you to take the Falcon to the Klingon/Gorn border, see what's going on. See if hostilities have cooled down. Then, get as close as you can to the Gorn homeworld, take scans of the planet, see what the level of destruction is. This is a covert mission, so you'll be under cloak and rigged for silent running. Avoid patrols. The Klingons destroyed Gorn sensor arrays and border defenses near Ts'rar Station so you can slip into Gorn territory there. You won't launch until the Enterprise departs and the ion storm is gone."

Zeke was already trying to figure out how to strategize their mission. It was a simple recon mission. A quick, observe and report assignment. This should be a cake run for his crew. But the one thing that Zeke knew was, never take anything for granted. The USS Falcon was going to investigate the border of the Klingons and Gorn, and scan the area.

Zeke knew both races were territorial, and may not like being scanned. He needed to prepare his crew for that outcome. But if all went to plan, they should be able to slip in and then back out again, in no time at all. He made his way back to airlock 24 and boarded. His next stop his ready room.

The Klingons were easier to negotiate with. The Gorn were a little more hostile, and less forgiving of other races entering their system of space. Luckily his orders were to monitor. Observe and report back.

Spying on both races, while under cloak, should be a cake walk. Zeke knew not to let his guard down. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong if you become complacent. He needed to be alert and ready to respond. He started to make his way to the airlock to board his ship.

Sarah approached the Captain's position. "Hello Commander." He said with a smile, knowing that Sarah was probably going to complain about having an observer watch over them.

"Is Captain DeSilvor presense really necessary on this mission?" Sarah asked, wondering why the captain agreed to this?

"Yes Commander, I suggest if you want to continue this conversation, we do so in private. Now tell me Commander, is the Falcon prepped and ready for launch?" Asked Zeke. He wanted to redirect the conversation away from the topic of Captain DeSilvor.

"Yes Captain, we have been re supplied and the crew is waiting for your arrival, Doctor Woodhouse will be joining us after her shift. She called to say she was occupied till 1600 hours." Sarah said.

"Understood." Zeke said as both officers boarded the USS Falcon. They started to walk down the corridors and make their way to the turbolift. "Staff meeting scheduled for 1630?" Asked Zeke, he hated late evening staff meeting but they needed to launch as soon as possible. He knew today was going to be a long day. He thought to himself, at least he can have dinner with Anna.

"Yes Captain, and per your request Captain DeSilvor was invited." Sarah said. She was not very happy to have a high ranking trainer looking over their shoulder. But they did not have a choice.

"Sounds like we good to go, as soon as the crew boards and settles in, we will take off tonight around 1700 hours." Said Zeke as they went into the turbolift. He called out. "Bridge."

The scene fades.
