Mission: Episode 96 - A Visitor From the Past
Location: Aquila Quarters
Timeline: MD 1, 1610hrs

"Holly!" the boys said in unison, as they approached her in the living room. Titus and Octavian were developing into fine looking young, as they both navigated through their 17th year of life. They were both holding PADDs, nervously. Titus, being the more outgoing of the twins, stepped closer to Holly. "We have some great news, and a problem."

When both of the boys said her name she couldn't help but smile. Turning her head to look at them both she then would motion for them to join her in sitting down on the couch. Holly had just returned from working and was raising a questioning brow at the pair. "Oh?" She was curious as to what they were up to now as they were growing into very smart and good looking young men. Then again she didn't expects any less out of them considering they were Gaius's boys.

Titus decided, as always, to be direct, much to his brother's anxiety. He handed Holly the PADD in his hand. On it read:

"CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT"
"On behalf of the Commander In Chief of The United Federation Of Planets, and the Star Fleet Academy Admissions Committee, I take great pleasure in presenting this Certificate Of Appointment to Titus Marcus Aquila for the Class Of 2398"

Octavian said, "I received one as well Holly. So, how do we tell Father?"

Holly read the PADD that was handed to her a smiled a bit before taking in what the boys were saying to her. She could see where their father would not be happy about it but at the same time if this was something they wanted to do it was only in the best interest of Gaius to go along with it. She spoke to them both handing the PADD back to Titus.

"You could tell him just like you told me, but the only difference is that I'll be in the room with you. If this is truly something that you both want to go into then I'm happy for you both for your acceptance. I am sure that your Father will feel the same way."

Giaus walked in at this time. It always made him happy to see Holly, and the boys bonding. But something appeared different from all of their expressions. He looked at Titus, who was more likely to talk. "Son, tell me what is happening." Titus, for the first time in his life, was at a loss for words. He glanced over to Octavian, then at Holly. "Father, we have some news for you. Remember when you reminded us that we were of age, and needed to find a direction with our life path?" Giaus suspected that the wheels of adulthood were now starting to roll for his sons. "Speak." Titus continued. "I am going to study Interstellar Relations for one of my majors. Octavian is going to study Quantum Physics for one of his." Giaus folded his arms, and glanced at Holly for a minute before returning his gaze at his sons. He knew from his sons' grades that they were more than capable of handling dual majors of higher education. He knew where this conversation was going, but he wanted to hear it from his sons' mouths. "Octavian, what is your other major?" Octavian took a deep breath before speaking. "Father, I will also be majoring in Starship Propulsion Systems." Giaus then looked at Titus. "Father, my other major is Military Science."

Giaus looked at Holly again, knowing that she already knew. What none of them knew, from their awkwardness, was his reaction. "Holly, how long did you know this?"

"Just found out about all of the majors as you were finding out. Found out about the acceptance shortly before you did. That is just because the boys wanted to be reassured before speaking with you. They want to honor you and for you to be proud of them."

Giaus smiled, "I am very proud of them. My family is giving the Federation its first two commissioned officers."

Giaus approached each boy, openly pleased with the news, and gave them each a Roman style handshake and embrace. "I am very proud of each and every one of you."

He turned to face Holly. He embraced her, and whispered in her ear, "Thank you, my Love."
