ON:

Jewel decided to go see her sister as she hadn't seen her since her return to the station. Jay, Liberty as well and little Daniel who is 2 now tagged along to go see their aunt as well. After awhile they made it and ran the chime and waited, which by now she was sure Janice could tell it was them by Daniel being loud wanting to go in and not understanding they had to wait until they were welcomed in.

Janice was at the desk in the living room sending a message to her Mother on Earth when the chime rang. Christopher was home from school already and had been reading a book on the sofa. He jumped up and ran to the door. The seven year old wasn't supposed to open the door by himself, but Janice was watching him from the desk and nodded her head, giving him permission.

The door opened and Christopher smiled, "Hi Jewel."

Janice finished the message and sent it before getting up and walked over. "So you finally made it back." She said with a smile.

Giving Christopher a hug before walking completely in followed by the kids who went off to play with Christopher. "Indeed, Vulcan was driving me nuts. To much Logic...." Jewel replied with a smile, "Plus I was getting home sick anyways." She added as she hugged her sister. "So how have you been doing?" She asked.

"'Too much logic on Vulcan' huh, one never would have guessed." Janice said with a smile as she stood. "It's good to have you back." She took a seat on the sofa and offered the same to Jewel as the kids went off to Christopher's room.

Jewel chuckled, "So what have you been up to? We haven't spent enough time together lately." Jewel replied looking at her.

Janice looked over at her sister, then spoke quietly just in case little ears were listening. "I've thought about coming out of retirement. I'm not looking for a field command, but something like a S-2 or even a S-4. Intel or Logistics would allow me to stay here on 400 and close to Christopher. It's hard to sit here all day while Mike is at work and Christopher is in school."

Jewel raised her eyebrow, "I know how that goes." Jewel replied while she looked at her. "Do you think you can handle it, I mean after being away for so long?" Jewel asked looking at her wanting to make sure Janice was making the right decision and wouldn't regret it later.

Janice smiled, "I think I can handle that better than sitting here alone." She paused for a moment before adding, "I've thought about taking up a civilian job, but there's nothing that really suits me...and this boredom is enough to drive someone to drinking." She looked away.

She placed a hand on her sisters shoulders, "You are stronger then that Janice." Jewel stated as she knew her past and her struggles. "I could always use some help in Diplomatic Detachment." Jewel smiled looking at her. "But you probably drive me up the wall." Jewel said jokingly with a grin.

"Oh I haven't touched a drop, but, well, you know the desire is there." Being a recovering alcoholic wasn't easy, but she laughed at the joke. "And yeah, I probably would. Besides, what would people think of a 'diplomatic' staff with two Marine Generals?"

She chuckled, "That is true." Jewel replied then looked around, "So how you and Mike doing?" Jewel asked as she looked around the room.

"We're great. He's home every night, but I can't help but feel this is the calm before the storm." She looked away for a moment. "You want something to drink? I need something. Tea, water?"

"Tea hot would be fine," Jewel smiled as she looked away for a moment then back at Janice as she heard the kids playing and she smiled.

Janice got up and stepped into the kitchen, a few minutes later she returned with a hot tea for Jewel and a root beer for herself. "These things are going to make me fat." She laughed, taking a drink.

"Never," Jewel laughed as she took a drink of her tea.

"I think I'm going to talk with Mike tonight about going back on duty. I'm going to have to break it to him sooner rather than later." She took another drink.

"Would you like me to go with you? Plus it get me out and about, Liberty and Jay can watch Christopher their very responsible." Jewel replied with a smile.

Janice smirked, "No, I'm going to cook him dinner and seduce him." She laughed and blushed a little, she didn't know why they had been married for years now.

She just shook her head as she laughed, "If you like Christopher could come over for a sleep over so you two can be totally alone." Jewel offered as she couldn't help but laugh.

Janice finished her drink, "That would be nice. We haven't had a night alone in a long time. Can I bring him around seventeen-thirty?"

"Of course, I'll have the extra bed ready for him." Jewel replied with a smile. "Well, I better go see how Alena is doing and get everything ready." She said as she stood up and called for the children. "We will see you tonight," she added as she gave her sister a hug.

"Thank you." Janice replied.
