Mission: Episode 91 - Bremer vs Bremer
Location: Kaleb III MTD
Timeline: MD3, 0300hrs

Central Dome, Barracks

Hopper was still exhausted from the Phase I testing. The results still haven't been passed down to the officers yet, so their first grade was still unknown. They reached their objectives, but took a beating in the process. With all basic maintenance tasks complete, the marines were taking advantage of the lull in action.

Orbiting Kaleb III

"Scans are showing an underground weapons depot, and an incomplete base Master." The Captain stroked the beard that covered his green skin. He was still enraged with an unsuccessful raid on the Kaleb IV Colony. Losing more than half of the raiding party to Federation Marines, he barely escaped with what was left of his fellow pirates. This time, instead of a frontal assault, a cloaked ship with a mission of theft was the game of the day. Get the men ready. "

Kaleb III Storage Depot, Under the MTD

Garrison duty was boring, or so thought the inexperience Marine MP who made his security checks in the underground depot. "I should have joined the Infantry", he constantly thought to himself. They got to wear battle dress instead of these class B uniforms that looked too much like Star Fleet. As he passed a service hallway, his thought made him fail to notice the large Orion coming up behind him with a garrote. His head dropping onto the deck plate before the rest of his body became a one time lesson to him. Similar fates were bestowed on the marines in the Security Office, in front of the turbolift doors, and communications. Everyone in the domes above were unaware of what was happening below due to incomplete security systems.

Why she'd chosen to sleep on Kaleb was beyond her. But it was late when both she and Amir awoke with alarm?? She shook out the cobwebs and focused through Amir's heightened senses.. {Somethings wrong on the lower levels??} Amir guessed. "Go hunting.." Deb told her and got dressed.. Her unit was at least two decks above but the depot was still below...
She made her way to the barracks proper and found a handful of Marines.. She woke the nearest.. "We have a problem, DON'T sound an alarm, get people you know.. We have intruders.."

Hopper looked at her with the expression of surprise on his face, since he did not hear any alarms. Still, she did give him an order. He had the fireguard quietly wake up 2nd Platoon as he donned on his combat kit. His marines followed suit.

She moved to the armory, took a pair of heavy stun batons, a combat knife and a fresh phaser. {ok Girl where are they??}

Amir had moved with lightning speed. she found the first of what felt like six? maybe more, they were obviously trying to steal from the Marines.. {We have some badies and at least three dead Marines.. They're trying to steal stuff..} hidden in the darkness she doubted they would care about a seemly large local creature, as long as she kept her distance...

Deb didn't wait , someone needed to get eyes on. through her connection to Amir, she followed a fast route down to the level in question. It was nicely dark in most of the level. She stayed close to the walls and moved slow and methodically. Her personal shield was at low power to allow the other Marines to track her. {Where's the leader girl??}
Amir was hovering in the dark silent overhead. {Must be this guy below me, He's changed everyones jobs, want me to jump him??} {NO your Not fully healed enough..}

Sam elected to take one squad below to assess the situation before committing his entire platoon. The other squads remained near the gangway hatchway as 1st Squad made their way down. Using the turbolift would be a fools errand if something was indeed happening below. Once below, Sergeant Bruns pointed in the direction the Lieutenant went after looking at his tricorder. The marines also observed the body of the sentry who was guarding the turbolift doors. The squad's fire teams moved in three stacks, each team member keeping hold of the shoulder of the marine in front of them with their weak hands, in standard urban combat fashion. Alpha Team stopped just short of Casion's position as Hopper came forward. Bruns made hand signals to the pair, indicating which directions the intruders were located.

{How cute.?} Deborah thought, HAND SIGNALS?! She turned her left wrist and tapped a few tabs on the back of her personal shield generator, which was off. It sent text commands to whatever these Marines were carrying. It read "encircle to capture, converging fields, kill only if necessary.." Till a senior officer showed this was her incident scene...

Suddenly, a text message scrolled across Hopper's and Bruns' HUDS in their helmets. Both sergeants fought the urge to giggle. There was nothing shocking about a technology dependent Lieutenant, but it was still amusing to an NCO. There were only two directions to go, straight, or right. Hopper gave Bruns a nod, and Bruns signaled Charlie Team to hold position. Bruns took Alpha team to the corridor on the right, Hopper took Bravo Team straight.

The Orions had problems. The Armories were not exactly easy to get into without the right access codes, or bio fingerprints, and phasers were barely scratching the doors. Six more pirates beamed in, and were sent to the end of the hall to guard the looters.

Transport inhibitors. The depot needed those badly, and the ones that were installed were not fully functional yet. Hopper was in eyesight of the Orion guards. There was only one way into the Armory section, so it now looked like an encirclement was off the table. Bruns was now in line of sight from the other end off the hall. The Orions spotted Alpha Team, and started firing on them. Hopper yelled, "Eyes up!" Both teams started to return fire.

Leading wasn't Always from the front. From the Side, Deb had access to things her Marines didn't. She found the old Klingon fire suppression system, What a great was to screw up the bad guys. As Quickly as she could she reroutes just enough power and took command of the system. She than taped out a text. "20 seconds till fire suppression, Mask up!!!" {Girl It's gonna get stinky and clouded, Hit the leader from above Knock him out...}

Hanging completely ignored 4 meters above the middle of the growing firefight, Amir was jittery to Do something.. {THANK YOU!!} She'd been watching the smarmy character and wanted Badly to crank his ass full of poison..

On cue, with the alert circuits bypassed a dense white fog blasted from multiple ports in the walls and overhead. Immediately the Orion's panicked, all hell was about to break loose...

When the Orion's confusion started, Hopper clapped his hands as he looked at the Marine in front of him. The Marine pulled out a jewel-shaped device from one of his pouches, pulled a safety pin, and pressed down on a plunger, and threw it at the intersection the pirates were standing in, "Frag out!"

The ensuing explosion seemed to have made the four Orions magically disappear. Something Marines called "explosive beam out to hell". Hopper told the other team to cease fire, and he took the team he was with, and rushed the intersection. The next corridor appeared clear, no including the charred fragments of the pirates that were firing on them. "Hall clear. Alpha Team Up!" Bruns' team dashed to Hopper's position. Now for the fun part, since there was a single corridor, with 14 hardened rooms on both sides. Both teams formed up into sticks again, and awaited word from the Lieutenant.

The unfortunate side affect of the frag was the cover of the fog vaporized. But the hall was cleared. Through her connection to Amir she knew that they had a left turn before entering the room where the remainder of the pirates were frantically on the move..
A Sargent, A rather Handsome Caitian moved to her shoulder. She held up a finger to keep him from speaking. She focused a moment. Amir had paused held from attacking by the immediate chaos of the fire suppressant. She turned to the Sargent.
"Take a message to first platoon leader, Capture the pirate leader he will be marker, No one else need survive.." She than directed him forward and left.. and slapped him on the shoulder..

Sgt Cather crouched with feline grace and fluidity. His Caitian nature gave him immense patience. "Yes Lieutenant" he remarked with a gruff voice as he crept into the darkness.

After the Sargent moved out she went back to the panel, She typed out more info. "Orders inbound. prep for final push.." She activated internal surveillance systems. They were no where near as good as she hoped. She was able to translate what she felt and read from Amir and Pinged the leader, sending that to first platoon.. "Go when ready, sweep and clear, deadly force authorized on local authority.."
