Location: Various
Timeline: MD5- 1200Hours

ON:

Lwazanda had spent the days since the failed double date with the Bremer's in a hotel. She needed the time to think about everything. She thought deep and long about her marriag to Kone and her long relationship with Stannis. But most importantly she thought about whether or not she was truly happy.

The Betazoid woman sighed as she sat in the lobby of the hotel she was staying at. She waited for her handmaiden, who she finally called on.

Mirenna hurried into to bustling lobby, her shawl pulled over her head in a makeshift disguise. Immediately, she spotted her mistress and hurried to her.

"Ma'am." She said upon reaching Lwazanda. She pulled off the shawl. "It's me, Mirenna."

Lwazanda smiled at her handmaiden. "Yes, I know Little Dove." She stood and embraced the younger woman.

"Are you ready to come home?" Mirenna asked, still engulfed in the embrace.

Lwazanda pulled away, but held Mirenna's shoulders."My dear, there are a few things we need to do first."

Lwazanda finished her call, and exited the public communication port. She held her hand out to Mirenna. "Come now, it is done." The pair walked side by side.

Mirenna looked to her mistress. "So who did you choose?" She asked with a childlike wonder.

Lwazanda stopped dead. She closed her eyes, and sighed. "Neither."

Mirenna flashed a confused look. "What do you mean?"

Continuing forward, Lwazanda explained. "I'm leaving Kon, having our marriage disolved. But I'm doing it for me, not for Stannis." She inhaled deeply. "Ilve been unhappy for longer than even I know Little Dove, I need to find that again before I can be with anyone."

Mirenna nodded her understanding and smiled. "I'm glad to hear that ma'am."

"Now, all that's left to do is tell them both." Lwazanda shrugged, "By now Kon will have received notice from the Council of Rixx about our divorce. We'll start with Stannis then, give Kon some time to gather his thoughts?"

Stannis mulled about his quarters compiling all of his notes on the Tzenkethi Coalition. He was due to give a lecture on the reclusive people at the University of Betazed in a few weeks, and was planning to take the time to visit some family as well. He looked at his notes, not quite as much as he originally intended, but then he had been distracted by Lwazanda as of late.

He sighed as he continued to gather what he needed. He was startled when the chime sounded, alerting him to a visitor. He hurried to the entrance and opened the door. Before him stood a refreshed looking Lwazanda and her handmaiden Mirenna.

"May we come in?" asked Mirenna, while Lwazanda stood quietly.

"Please." replied Stannis, making eye contact with Lwazanda.

Walking towards the sitting area, Lwazanda began to speak. "Stannis, I wanted to talk to you about a something, and it's rather important." she seated herself on a long sofa, and Mirenna sat beside her. Stannis moved to a chair opposite them.

"I petitioned the Council for a divorce today, which they granted." Lwazanda said abruptly.

Stannis blinked. "Oh!" He said, suddenly excited.

"I know your leaving soon to speak on Betazed," She began.

Stannis interupted her "And you want to come with me, oh this is fantastic Lwazanda."

Lwazanda shook her head. "I think you stay on Betazed a while." She moved to avoid eye contact.

"What?" He said aghast."But you're divorced? I don't understand."

"I need to do what's right for me, and find myself again." Lwazanda said, looking past him.

"I see." was all that Stannis could muster.

Lwazanda stood, Mirenna followed suit. "Safe trevels Stannis. We'll talk soon." The older woman said, departing the room, without looking back.

Kon was still furious about what had happened during dinner, and this new news did not help the fact. After a few minutes, he had read the notice nearly a dozen times. It had to be true. Lwazanda had divorced him, and the Council of Rixx carried her motion.

Pacing the the bedroom, Kon contemplated what to do next. Should he wait and confront Lwazanda, or shold he leave. She obviously wanted the latter.

Resigned to that fact, Kon packed his things and quickly arranged transport. As it happened, there was a ship, the Hadrian, heading to Betazed that day.

Without so much as a note, Kon hurried from the apartment eager to leave the station before having to face Lwazamda again.

Lwazanda and Mirenna walked side by siderds Lwazanda's apartment. Lwazanda felt lighter after their, albeit brief, meeting with Stannis.

Mirenna keyed the door open, and followed Lwazanda over the threshold.

The apartment seemed eerily quiet. "Kon!" The older Betazoid called.

Mirenna went up the stairs to look for him, while Lwazanda earched the ground floor.

"Ma'am" called Mirenna.

Moving to the Foyer so she could see up the staircase, Lwazanda replied."Yes Little Dove?"

"He's gone, and so are his things!" Mirenna sounded oddly panicked.

Kon approached the airlock where Hadrian was docked. He was a while early, and so was alone for the moment.

He set down his bags on the platform, and continued with his pacing from earlier. He closed his eyes and began to let his mind wander. He was shaken back to reality by the sound of footsteps on the platform.

Stannis was surprised to see another person on the platform waiting to depart. Even more so when he finally saw who it was.

Kon watched in silence as Stannis approached. He thought to say something, but stopped and though instead about the reason Stannis was leaving as well.

Stannis set down his bags and for a brief moment, he and Kon locked eyes. a look of mutual understanding form both.
