Lt. Col. Hurd, after leaving the General's office, headed straight for Marine country, where the QRF was stationed.

Walking in, he stood for a moment, observing the Marines practicing and and inspecting their gear. Satisfied, he turned and walked the short distance to his office, a smile on his face.

Walking in, he put the rest of his battle gear on, and sat down. Logging into his computer, he began making his way through the huge backlog of messages that had accumulated in his office. In the back of his mind, he was waiting fir the call out of his QRF Forces.
