Mission: Episode 88 - Memories Lost, Trouble Found
Location: USS Steadfast
Timeline: MD4, 1545hrs, Following 'Taking the Tirpitz for a spin, Part 2'

ON:

The Streadfast had left Starbase 400 nearly two hours before, and she was cruising along at Slipstream.

Ramata'tar stood at the Tactical Station and continued to run scans and battle drills, getting used to the vessel. It was his first time aboard a Diligent class ship.

Jack stood at the Operations station on the bridge of the Steadfast as it sped at Slipstream speeds to Virimonde, the location of the rendezvous with Talia. He could feel a nervous tingle in his gut as the time for the meeting came closer. Talia had acknowledged his message and agreed to meeting on Virimonde as neutral ground for them both. However, he was all aware about how devious and cunning she could be and he was hoping he was right about her changing her mind and this time looking to redeem herself after all these years.

He kept scanning busily with all the sensors available on the ship, making sure there were no surprises waiting for him...but he was expecting the unexpected and was hoping the Steadfast would be enough...

"So do we have intel about the location of tha meet?" Phoenix asked as she watched the pilot controls carefully.

Jack updated the viewscreen with an outlay schematic of Virimonde before zooming in to a small island on the equator of the planet. "Its Class M, but very rocky and dusty. Imagine the Grand Canyon as a planet and your not far off. The meeting site is this small island. We beam in and discuss terms and beam out again...," he began, "Or at least, that the plan..." He finished.

Zhao turned in his seat to look at the viewscreen. He guessed he would remain aboard. He was not much of a fighter, but he could wring every last ounce of power out of a ships engines. "Best you all take trackers in case I need to beam you all out in a hurry. It will mean I don't have to lock on to you to do it." He got up and walked towards the screen, "I would recommend sub-dermal trackers, two each in different locations of the body."

Suddenly as if becoming aware he was in front of everyone he got embarrassed and walked quickly back to his seat.

Jack nodded to Quan's idea. It was a good one and it meant he could beam them out in a hurry. "I like the sound of that, good idea Quan. Lets make it happen before we arrive," Jack said, taking a look at the sensors to check their ETA.

Zhao sent a quick message to the sickbay. The duty nurse replied and was soon heading for the bridge with the sub-dermal trackers.

"According to this, we should be there in the next forty minutes, so lets get this sorted and organised. Everyone on the away team will need the implants and we'll need to be armed...except me. If I'm unarmed that should give Talia some idea of trust," Jack explained.

“If you are unarmed, then I will remain close. You will be safe.” Ramata’tar said. He didn't like the fact Solomon wouldn't be armed, but it was also typical for Vorta and Founders to be unarmed while the Jem’Hadar protected them. He could also see the look in Phoenix’s eyes like she was looking for a fight, and Ramata’tar liked that. As a pure warrior created for combat, he respected someone else who also liked a good fight.

Jack nodded as Ramata’tar volunteered for the away team. He suddenly felt a little safer. "Thank you, Ramata’tar, that means a lot. So anyone else for the away team?" Jack asked, looking around the bridge at T'Lar, Phoenix and Quan, amongst the other crew members at their stations.

Deela spoke up, "Usually, I would stay with the ship but my Betazoid abilities will be more useful there with you. I don't trust her and I will know if she is hiding anything or if there is some deception on her part." Ramata'tar was all bronze in her opinion but Solomon needed more than just someone who could fight.

Deela didn't wait for a response before walking over to Tactical to check the long range scanners. She needed to be sure that they weren't walking into a trap.

As Ramata’tar scanned again, he spoke up, “Mister Quan, will your tracker make it possible for the enemy to detect me while I am shrouded?”

Quan thought for a moment. "Short answer Ramata'tar, I don't know. I don't want to compromise your shrouding, so it might be worthwhile testing it before you beam down. "

Jack looked over at Phoenix at the helm and wondered if she would be on the away team. "Phoenix? Are you in? I already have two volunteers to beam down with me to the rendezvous... Want to be the third?" Jack asked.

"I'm in," Phoenix suggested and gave the con to her relief, then popped open her sniper rifle case. "I have a bio dampener that'll keep me hidden, plus I have a set of cartridges that fire sleepin' darts for my TR. Transport me to a safe vantage point an' tha rest of ya can bag her... Unless there's a better plan ta grab her on tha table that we didn' discuss."

Jack smiled at her response. "I have nothing else planned. Usually when I have a plan in place for Talia, she wrecks it or has a different idea all together. I'm just glad that you will all be around," he added.

Quan just looked around the bridge, mentally sorting out details for the trackers and transporting. It was possible that the tracker would also affect Phoenix's biodampener, but again testing would allow him to adjust it so he could track them with minimum affect of keeping hidden.
