ON:

After leaving Sick Bay, K’Temoc didn’t go to Ops like everyone else, instead he returned to the Yorktown. There was no one else aboard the ship and K’Temoc found himself just walking the corridors, thinking. Maybe Klag didn’t know about the attempt on Rodek’s life, but someone ordered the attempt. What did Rodek have locked away in his brain that even he couldn’t access right now?

K’Temoc had met Klag once when he was Federation Ambassador to QonoS’ from 2379 to 2380. It was brief, outside Chancellor Martok’s Office. K’Temoc had heard of Klag prior to then and knew him to be a good warrior and commander. He’d heard nothing but good things about the man, but K’Temoc also new good men that had gone bad before. Westmoreland came to mind.

Still, K’Temoc didn’t have any real prove that Klag was trying to kill Rodek, only circumstantial evidence and his Security training told him not to make a judgement solely on that circumstantial evidence. Even so, he made his point clear, that he’d defend Rodek. That said, K’Temoc was a little more at ease knowing Malor was there to defend him, and Klag gave his word that he would defend Rodek too, and if he didn’t he’d have Worf, Bremer, and K’Temoc to deal with as well as his own tarnished honor.

After a few minutes, K’Temoc arrived on the Bridge of the USS Yorktown. He activated the main viewer and took a seat in the Captain’s chair. He looked out across the vast internal docking bay of Starbase 400. Across the bay, what looked to be a very small vessel could be seen. K’Temoc knew that small ship very well too, it was the USS Falcon, a Defiant class ship, K’Temoc’s first command. The ship he commanded during the Dominion War. The Falcon had been at Starbase 400 for several months now undergoing overhaul and awaiting her new Commanding Officer to be assigned. K’Temoc felt a little selfish about it, hoping the ship would be assigned to Starbase 400 for good, but that happened. With her recent upgrades and overhaul, the Falcon was now equipped with Slipstream as well as improve computer systems, she was on par with the brand new Yorktown-F.

After several moments of being lost in memories and thoughts, K’Temoc stood, shut the viewer down, and headed for Ops.
