Talking with the Admiral

David had finished his physical therapy, so Jewel dropped of Jr, kissed both of them and was off again. She needed to talk to Mike about a few things which hopefully will get approved. She thinks her request will best serve her department well and will get her team's moral up a bit more. She arrived and headed for Mike's new office hoping he be there and pressed the door chime and waited.

Mike was looking over reports Roebuck was able to dig up from the Klingon Central Data Net, but it wasn’t much. T’Ral had been loyal officer, Dominion War veteran, and a friend of Klag. Things didn’t look good for Rodek.

When the door chime beeped, Mike looked up and thought about telling whoever it was to go away, but he took a deep breath instead and said “Enter.” At least the new door chime he programmed in this morning sounded better than the default one.

She walked in and smiled and Mike, she could tell he had a lot on his mind. "Admiral, I won't take to much of your time." Jewel said as she looked at him, "I just got a couple of requests that I would like your approval on." She said looking at him.

"Here is my proposal," she started then handed him a PADD. "I would like the diplomatic suite and offices upgraded to better suite the needs of our department. Also, I been doing some research lately on my free time and found an extensive training program that I would like to give my team including myself. To better improve how we deal with situations, and so fourth." She stated looking at him.

"On the PADD is all the information on the plan for the diplomatic office's nothing major all minor things along with the information about the training program. I think it will help us all around Admiral." She stated looking at him taking a breath.

Mike took the PADD, but didn't look at it. He trusted Jewel and it was her department. "Approved, get with Commander Coleman and Lieutenant Wooldridge about the upgrades." He tried to flash a smile, but it was clear he was lost in thought.

"Thanks," she said then looked at him. "Is everything alright Mike?" she said in a more social tone then business.

"I don't know," Mike replied in a solemn tone. He then looked up, "but they will be." He tried to flash a smile.

She nodded, "Well I better get to work then got a lot to do." She said with a smile as she turned to walk out but stopped in her tracks. "We all should have dinner sometime, you, Janice and Christopher and me, David and Jr." Jewel said as she missed the dinners.

"Sounds good, thank you. I'll let you know when is a good day." Mike replied.

She smiled, "well don't wait to long." She chuckled then walked out and let Mike get back to work.
