Informing her Staff

Mission: Episode 88 - Memories Lost, Trouble Found
Location: Diplomatic Office
Timeline: MD4-1000h

After she had her son a couple days ago without time to actually inform her staff. She had her son in a sling carrier as she walked down to her office and seen Sasha at her desk. "Inform the rest to report to my office on the double," she replied to Sasha as she walked in.

Lieutenant (JG) Billy Keikeya Jr. was hard at work at his console doing the paperwork after getting two opposing sides of a conflict on-board with a proposed agreement when Sasha poked her head in his office to inform him that the General called for an impromptu meeting. He smiled and assured her, "I'll be right there."

Billy saved his document and stood up to go to the meeting room to see what this was all about, "Reporting in as instructed."

She looked up, while little David was sleeping. "Please take a seat, were waiting for Ensign Nakamura to join us and we can begin this meeting." She said as she looked at Billy.

"Yes Ma'am," Billy replied and he took a seat and they waited for the new Ensign on the team.

Ensign Nakamura calmly opened the door but there was no way she could deny she hadn't been moving quickly to get there in good time. Her chest rose and fell as she quietly caught her breath and smiled brightly at everyone.

" Please excuse my tardiness...reporting in as instruct -" Her eyes landed on the sight of the adorable baby and lit up, though she managed to keep going. " As instructed. Sir." I was truly not born to be in the military... she thought to herself as she tried to keep her eyes on Major General Hurd and not the bundle of the joy beside her.

She nodded, "Well I am sure both of you are aware of my recent promotion to Major General from last nights dinner." Jewel replied looking at both of them. "There are a few things that I want to change in my department for the better, so were more flowing and can handle things that come at us with more ease sort to speak." Jewel added as she needed to have a meeting with Mike about a certain things.

"So, I want you all aware of things to come which I will inform you later on once I get them cleared." Jewel added looking at both of them.

" Yes sir." Hoshi answered, " What sort of changes? As you know I am a fairly new arrival -" And making a wonderful first impression of myself. she thought sarcastically, " And have yet to fully acquaint myself with the way things work."

"I can't really say at the moment until I get them cleared, rather not get hopes up to soon." Jewel replied as she the looked at Keikeya, "You have any questions Lieutenant Keikeya?" she asked as she looked at him.

"Naturally the same that the Ensign just posed and you answered. But nothing further," Billy replied. He went back into his listening mode to help expedite things, this was after all a meeting for the Major General to brief and inform her staff. He just added, "And again congratulations both on the baby and the promotion."

"Thank you, well there is nothing more I need to talk to you about other then keep up the good work." Jewel replied then stood up, "I have a few people to meet with so you both are dismissed." Jewel replied as they both got up and left and so did she.
