Underway and Earth Bound

The air on the bridge of the Yorktown was stale, at least to Bryant's nose. He had never been a big fan of the Defiant's environmental systems, too sterile for his taste. How he missed the ships that he worked on when he first joined Starfleet, old, imperfect, and subject to breaking at any minute, but what a rush just to go into warp. Not that it mattered much now a days, his his position in his career he should be happy to be allowed to even leave the station. Thankfully, the Admiral didn't subscribe to the fact that higher command needs to be protected at all cost.

Bryant shook himself from his revive to glace across the Conn/Ops console in front of him. Everything was running normally and smoothly which was a nice change, not that he expected to see anything different. He was once again distracted, but this time it was by the fact that K'Temoc had gotten up to talk to a rather striking young woman in gold that had just came onto the bridge.

A light flashed on Bryant's console, once again drawing his attention back to his job at had. The rest of the task group had formed up and was signaling that it was time to head to Earth.

" Captain " Bryant chimed in, breaking into K'Temoc's conversation. " We're being singled that the rest of the task group in ready to go. "

" Very well, acknowledge them and set us on course Chief " K'Temoc.

" Aye, sir " Bryant replied, quickly typing in the need information on the console to both confirm the transmission and to lay in the course and speed.

In a short few minutes the Yorktown slipped into warp speed along with the rest of the task group heading to Earth. Bryant couldn't imagine what was going on in Mike's head right now over on the Pegasus, in fact Bryant couldn't figure out what was going on in Starfleet's head right now for not releasing Janice. He was sure that they would soon find out.

OFF: Just a short post, getting into the swing of things again. I finally caught up on the logs and just wanted to get something out there like right now :-) Thanks for having me back.
