Rachael Yamaguchi arrived at her destination, she was wearing a black shirt with skintight blue jeans along with sneakers as she regarded Paul Harrison. "So.. what's for dinner?" she inquired, it was just them since his mother was off on her honeymoon and Torilla was away on assignment.

"Whatever you want. What are you in the mood for?" Paul asked with a smile.

Rachael smiled, it was looking like it was going to be a normal evening. "Well I do have chemistry homework and a little social studies to go with it..." she explained with a smile. "so... I'm thinking finger food... maybe a pizza." she commented. "what about you?"

"Pizza sounds good to me as long as you don't expect me to put those stinky little fish on them. Oh, and extra cheese, it's definitely has to have extra cheese. So what else do you want on the pizza?"

"Oh lets see.." Rachael paused. "Ham and salami." she responded as she looked up at him since he towered over her. "Mind if I stay the night?" she inquired.

"Um, what?" Paul was taken aback, "Spend the night? Um, are you sure?" With his mom being gone, he wondered if it was a smart move to be alone with her in the same place and overnight.

Rachael looked up with him, her dark brown eyes glistened wetly as she smiled. "Why... we're both mature enough and I don't think I need to worry.... you're not going to do anything to me that I've not already thought about." she explained with a soft smile. "I want you to be my first...." she admitted.

"Rachael, this is a big step for the both of us. If we do this, there is no turning back, ya know?" In his head, he could hear his mother telling her that it comes with great responsibility. He wanted to ask her a question but felt a little uncomfortable asking but he wasn't ready to be a father.

Rachael nodded. "I know... I considered this most carefully." she commented. "I did look into medication to deal with any issues that might arise." she added. "You are a real man Paul, I know you won't take advantage of me so I need not worry."

"Okay then. Let's make the pizza. But first..." Paul wanted this to be romantic. So he got out two glasses and a few candles and set the table with plates and silverware. He took a flower out of the bouquet of flowers and put a single stem flower in it's own slim vase and set it in the middle of the table. He smiled at Rachael, "Would you like a salad too?"

Rachael smiled gently as she watched Paul at work, he clearly wanted to do this correctly but the trouble was Rachael didn't know what the right thing was, however she didn't let that bother her. "No...lets have the pizza.." she grinned at him.

Paul shrugged, "Okay." He walked over to the replicator, "Do you want to make some of it by scratch or take the easy route?"

"No.. take the easy route... We both got homework to do." she reminded him with a smile. "Since we're both off from school tomorrow... we can make a good meal tomorrow night."

Paul replicated two personal pizzas, hers with the way she wanted and his with ham and pineapple. He sliced them and set them on the table. He poured her some sparkling cider and then pulled the chair out for her, "Madam." Then he sat down.

Rachael had seen her parents sit down like this to a romantic dinner so she had some idea of what to do, she gently bowed to him before she sat down, she then lifted a slice of pizza as she began to eat it.

Paul laughed, "And my mother said that I was too young to know how to be romantic." He looked at Rachael, "Have I told you how pretty you look today?"

Rachael blushed as she smiled, clearly she wasn't used to this sort of attention.

"Well, I am telling you now." Paul grinned, "How is your pizza?"

"Its good." she answered evenly. "Nice and cheesy... gotta love extra cheese."
she commented. "you got any homework?"

"No. You?" He added, "So I can help you with yours." He said proudly.

"I have a couple of hours worth. Chemistry and Social Studies." she explained. "They love socking it to me... they want me to do my two month project on the third world war while everyone else got older wars.... like the First world war and the like."

"Be glad you did. I hate history of the Earth. I don't see any use for it except to bore us to sleep. I think it is a waste of time but they seem to think that it is important. So let's finish eating and get to it. The faster we get done, the more time we have for ourselves."

Rachael listened to what Paul was saying and in truth, she agreed with him, the history of her mothers planet was about seven times longer but the Halanan's were an ancient species who had long since grew out of the expansionist phase and had collapsed inward on themselves, this was the cause of their present situation. "My mothers history is much longer but not anywhere near as bloody." she sighed softly. "Do the history first... get it over with, the Chemistry is more interesting."

Paul nodded, "Ah yes, I remember the fun experiments I did last year. This year, it's not as much hands on, more lectures if anything."

"In this case they want to know about the decay rates of neutronium as a white dwarf star explodes, they were asking about Doctor Paul Stubb's experiments in the Kavis Alpha Binary system.." she explained. "Chemistry seems to be throwing more Stellar physics at me these days.." she explained before she picked up another slice of her pizza and with four bites she demolished it.

Paul smiled at the way she enjoyed her pizza, "Would you like me to replicate you another pizza?" Paul took his last two bites and washed it down with his drink.

Rachael regarded him. "Nah, I don't want to eat too much..." she commented. "I think best when I'm not on a full stomach.." she added. "come on. lets get this homework done then we have the rest of the night to ourselves."

Paul nodded. He got up and moved to the couch. He watched her with a smile, his mind not on the homework.

Rachael cleaned off the table as she brought out her homework, she then replicated herself a pitcher of ice cold coke cola as she went to work, about forty fives minutes of silence later, she was almost finished both sets of homework.

"Paul... I know you hate human history.... but... I can't quite figure out which story is right about Khan Singh." she explained. "there are two sets of stories.. one says he took over and was then overthrown, the other said he never quite got to power but was stopped in time..... which is it?"

Paul explained, "In 2267, Khan was discovered by Captain Kirk and crew. They were awoken and they eventually tried to take over the Enterprise. Kirk won and instead of pressing charges, he leaves Khan to a found settlement on Ceti Alpha V. 15 years later, the USS Reliant searches for a lifeless planet for use in the Genesis experiment but is seized by Khan Noonian Singh. Singh attacks the USS Enterprise. Later on, Khan steals the Genesis Device. Another battle commences and Khan unleashes the Genesis wave. Khan dies in that wave."

"Ahh.. that's what created the so called Genesis planet." she commented. "it was after that that most of that sector was declared a hazardous area and space was restricted." she commented. "I read accounts of what happened.... Genesis itself was formed between two class J Gas Giants.... it couldn't handle the gravity sheer of the two planets acting on it." she paused as a realization hit her. "Could Genesis have worked had it been placed in a system by itself?" she paused as she sighed. "Fomalhaut b would have made an excellent candidate...." she realized something. "I hope nobody ever gets it into their heads to try Genesis ever again."

"That is a good question. But Dr. Marcus son David admitted that he used Protomatter which an unstable substance which is dangerously unpredictable. There were certain problems that he couldn't solve. The only way Genesis would be tried again is if they can fix the matrix."

Rachael jotted down notes regarding her history homework. "Well lets hope nobody else is that insane..." she commented as she quickly finished it off. "Now... chemistry.." she then smiled. "Lets see... stellar physics."
she produced a PADD as she looked at him. "Hows your math?" she raised an eyebrow.

"It's boring as usual. It's mostly review, old hat." Paul looked over his homework for a while. His mind kept wandering, "Rach, can I ask you a question?"

Rachael raised an eyebrow, considering how he asked her, she assumed it was about what was going on later on. "Sure... whats up?"

Paul looked a little uncomfortable, "When we, um, you know, will we be connected to each other in any way? I mean, like your mom is? If we don't work out, I need to know that I won't go crazy or have something like Pon Farr happen to me."

Rachael smiled as she regarded him, it was an excellent question and should be addressed as such. "Well. I had thought about it so I asked Doctor Dvald before she went off on the Yorktown to run a few tests on that very subject." she explained. "Because I am part human, it muddles the picture somewhat or so Siaxx told me." she paused. "No. I don't have the concern that my brother and mother have..." she commented then she smiled. "Paul, if I did.. then I wouldn't let you take me to bed.... I am many things.... I wouldn't take a chance like that with you or anyone else... the consequences would be disastrous for everyone involved."

"I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to do something and then get surprised." He looked at her and smiled, "Let's finish our homework."

Rachael nodded as she regarded him. "Sounds good." she paused. "lets see..." and with that she picked up her PADD and carried on with her homework.

After a while, Paul stood up and walked over to where Rachael was and set her stuff to the side. He then took her hand, encouraging her to stand up. He took her in his arms and gave her a passionate kiss. He had waited long enough. He didn't want to wait any longer.

Rachael looked up at him as she could see it in his eyes. "I'm ready." she said to him. "the rest of this can wait.... shall we?" she indicated the bedroom.

He led her by the hand until they reached the bedroom. He began kissing her once again, the door closing behind them.
