***** Commanding Officers Ready Room - USS Courageous *****

"Captains Log, Stardate Six Seven One Three One point three six." he commented. "The Courageous and her battle group have made it back to Starbase 400 where we will remain for two weeks for leave time and the like,
I have ordered my personnel to behave and not get rowdy while on base as
I do not wish to have my fellow Captains and I have to deal with a disgruntled Four Star Admiral." he sighed softly as he looked around his Ready room.

"I don't wish to explain myself to Admiral T'Lar either or to Selvek.." he shuddered at the idea as he sincerely hoped his personnel behaved themselves. "we shall see if they actually do... end log entry."

There was his Trombone in the corner next to his saxophone, the fish tank in the corner where he kept a dozen goldfish, then further was his bathroom door and the replicator then he had a model of the USS Avalanche, a Sabre class starship which was his first assignment and next to her was the USS Courageous herself, the previous holder of the name which was an Excelsior class ship, decommissioned close to thirty five years now. on that wall was pictures of his wife and children as well as his daughter in law and now his grandson. Along with all of his siblings and their children.

his sofa was larger then average and could seat three rather then two. behind that was a massive painting which was a starscape, rich in stars and clouds of dust and gas, it was the Tarantula Nebula which was located in the Triangulum Galaxy, a location Jake would very much like to go and visit but he knew he'd never get there in a realistic timeframe.

He would receive his next assignment soon enough and he would be ready to face that assignment, the same as he had done for every assignment thus far.
