Admiral Bremer`s Personal Log - Stardate 64874.5:


"Following my...chat with Admiral Tomalak, I pulled up the location of other Federation, and even Klingon, ships that could arrive at the border before the Romulans could cross though the Neutral Zone. Unfortunately, it's not as many as I had thought. Ten Klingon ships and eleven Starfleet vessels are within range. From SB400, with the Endeavor and Saratoga away and the new Avenger-A not ready to launch yet, we're down to eleven ships, plus three if our Liaison Officers were to join us. Just thirty-five ships may not be enough, depending on how many ships Tomalak has available."

"I've sent word to Ops to have the Reserve Ships manned and readied. While these eighteen ships are older designs, Excelsior, Miranda, etc, they would be that added punch that we would need. Hopefully though, Tomalak is just making threats, trying to get under my skin, hoping I'll do something rash. Maybe I would have fifteen years ago as a young Captain, but not now. Now I play things much more defensively, calculated. Oh I can still be aggressive and attack, but this isn't the time for that."

"To be honest, my biggest concern isn't from Admiral Tomalak and his ships, but from a lone Tal Shiar agent that's among the crew of one of these three Warbirds now orbiting the Station. That's why I have Harrison, M`Kota, Borodin, and Rico meeting now to discuss and bolster station Security and Marine patrols. I have total confidence in them and their teams to protect this Station and everyone aboard."
