This log will be shorter than most, but I thought it best to document my arrival before the Starfleet Medical brass get ansy. I have made it to Starbase 400, and as usual, the first little while I wasn't sure whether I was coming or going. I never used to get space sick, but ever since I took this "roving" assignment, I can count on being queasy to various degrees on arrival.
Honestly, I've lost count of the number of duty stations I've been assigned to over my time as a Starfleet Medical representative. I like the idea of traveling to offer counseling to crews in need and professional support to counseling departments who could use it, but as I never know how long I'll be assigned to any one place, it does make life more than a bit stressful.
Gods know, I keep the engineers jumping trying to accommodate my hoverchair. Thank goodness Julia has stuck with me as my personal assistant. Despite our ever changing locale, she tells me there's a lot about a Starfleet lifestyle that simply doesn't change, like the "horrid" gray color scheme.
Julia's British dramatics are a comfort to me too. Wherever I am, it's nice to know *that* will never change.
I'm off to meet the XO... I hope this will be a smooth transition.
