Personal Log Stardate 65041.1 Commander James N. Winter: For the first time in over a century Starfleet is sending a task force of starships to the forbidden planet of Talos IV The Reasons for the suspension remain cloudy, the Federation president has temporarily suspended General Order Seven, in response to a request from the Talosians who have requested us to retrieve the remains of legendary Starfleet Officer Commodore Christopher Pike. While I believe the mission has its merits, I am concerned about what the Talosians are seeking out of this deal and if anyone finds out the suspension of General Order 7 will abuse it we shall see.
