well, thats another couple of days done. it's been stupidly busy on the base so i havent had any free time to myself yet.

it was my birthday yesterday. 24 years old. god i feel old. the squad got together and got me a cake in the Rann Wartha. it's one of the best birthdays i've ever had. it's a pity Dye's still on Prince. he would've loved the banter.

the other big event in my life. the post has finally been sorted. any v-logs the family send will go to the base now. there was a delay to a mess-up in paperwork meaning they were still going to the old melbourne! well at least that's sorted now.

mum and dad send there best as always. i miss them. especially when you havent seen them for over 5 years. Ian's still working at that office. still detests starfleet. still the same old ian. heard from Davey as well. he's sweating on a promotion to LT-CDR WEPS on Scharnhorst and he's waiting on his CO for a decision. bloody Davey's ecstatic about seeing me again on LCARS. he would be. i swear he fuelled by nitrous that boy.

and the best news of all, Matt only got his starfleet commission didn't he. i knew he would. smart lad when he ain't chasing woman all around cornwall. and he got orders for his first ship. NCC-34515. USS Victorious. Defiant Class. My baby brother got a defiant for his first ship. i've heard of lucky but that's taking the mickey that is. i always knew the sun shone on him.

work-wise, Yorkie's coming together nicely now (finally), all weapons appear sorted, bridge LCARS, firing controls, viewscreen, and tactical station are all working and impulse engines showed signs of life during testing. Mercy's still in-operable, nothing appears to be working and we've tried pretty much everything in the manual. we'll see what ADM bremer says about that one.

apart from that it's been a quiet couple of days apart from the usual. going to get my head down now for another one tomorrow. Matt. a defiant for his first ship!. uncle charlie would be proud.
