Important - Regarding Post 'Timelines'

Posted on Fri Jun 24th, 2016 @ 4:34pm by Fleet Admiral Mike K`Wor Bremer

Everyone,

Please be mindful of the ‘timeline’ section of your posts. Mel sent a reminder to everyone just last week about this, but I’m still seeing posts where people are jumping all around.

Please, look at the previous post’s timeline and stay close to that. If you’re not sure what Mission Day (MD) and time to use on your post, just PM me and I’ll give you some ideas.

The biggest issue I’m seeing is regarding the Mission Day, (MD). The MD is very important for the story’s continuity and flow. Also, we have different things we want to do with the plot and subplots on specific days. To help, I also update the Mission Notes for each mission, which pops up at the top of the ‘Write a Post’ page. It also tells you what Mission Day it is as well as recent events and a mission summery.

If we’re currently on Mission Day 2 (MD2), there shouldn’t be any posts for MD1, MD3, MD4, etc. If you have a post that you forgot to send or a JP that wasn’t ready before the Mission Day advanced, try to update it to fit into the current Mission Day for a time just after the last post. If it’s something that is to take place on MD3 and it’s currently MD2, wait until the plot/story moves to MD3 before posting it.

It’s really a simple concept that many sims use to keep things in order. If you have questions or concerns, please PM me.

-Mike
