Mission: Mission 85 - Q-uality Time Aboard Starbase 400
Location: Diplomatic Office
Timeline: After walkabout

Jewel made it to her office after talking to Torilla, she decided that she was going to meet with her new assistant. She tapped her commbadge, "General Dartt to Lieutenant Keikeya please report to my office." Jewel ordered.

"On my way," Billy replied after tapping his communicator. He hurried to the General's office, "Reporting as ordered, General... Ma'am..."

"Please have a seat Lieutenant, we need to discuss somethings." Jewel stated looking at him. "I am sure you have heard there are two weddings aboard SB400 mine included. Yes you are invited as is everyone else aboard SB400." She started as she looked at him.

"But after the wedding I am taking some leave of absence for a few days, I will not get into why except there are some family business I have to take care of. I'll be taking the Sutherland back to Earth, you will be in charge of the department while I am gone." Jewel added looking at him.

Billy nodded, "I should be able to manage for a few days. Sasha will be here to help, she knows the ropes. I shall make use of her experience here."

"Very good," Jewel said as she looked at him. "So, now that is taken care of. I would like to get to know you since we will be working together." Jewel stated looking at him.

"Tell me about yourself," Jewel asked.

Billy shrugged, "Everything is in my personnel file. Son of a Federation Ambassador. Have 2 siblings, both in Starfleet as well. I went the Diplomatic route, my brother went that of Command fast track and my sister Medical. I'm the uncle of 5 young darling children. Was thrown to the wolves for hands on training on Solais V. Fortunately I survived and came out a better Diplomatic Officer for it. Now I'm here to help out with the Diplomatic pickle the Federation finds itself in, in this region of space."

She nodded as she thought for a moment, "Well you will have your work cut out for you here. There is always something going on one way or another. Our last mission was very interesting to say the least." Jewel stated.

"Please. Fill me in," Billy replied, eager to hear the latest news on their Diplomatic situation.

"Well the situation has been resolved, basically was there to mediate a peace deal between the Krazzle and the C'Halkians. There were some tensions between everyone. But in the end the peace treaty was signed ending the war between them." Jewel stated looking at him. "Now the Task Force is just assisting in the relief efforts as well as setting up the DMZ/Neutral Zones as well.

"That should make things a bit easier for us on that front, Congratulations," Billy replied. He then asked, "General, may I ask if you see yourself as a Soldier or Diplomat first? It seems unusual that a Marine General would be so highly involved with Diplomacy. Most Marines seem to be more about combat than peace."

She chuckled a bit at his question, "I wasn't always a Diplomat, was...am a Marine and probably will always be a Marine, but with what had happened I thought I take the more safe route for a change." Jewel stated as she looked at him.

"Still getting used to it, it's quite a change from what I am used to." Jewel admitted looking at him.

"I would imagine so," Billy replied trying to understand what that must be like. He asked, "Is there anything else I should know about while your gone? Anything that should be on the Diplomatic Department's agenda?"

"Not that I can think of but I am sure the Admiral will find something if something may arise while I am gone." Jewel said, "Just make sure nothing goes wrong in my department while I am gone. I'll know who to blame if there is." Jewel said with a smile.

"Yes, General. If that's all, I'll get acclimated to my office," Billy replied as he stood up. At her nod, he left her office.
