Mission: Mission 85 - Q-uality Time Aboard Starbase 400
Location: SB400 Gym
Timeline: After Path to Kal'Hyah

Jewel decided that she would let off some steam, and frustration that was building up since the news her children where killed in an accident. It was something that had to be done so it wouldn't interfer with her work, her relationship with David, or her friends. She was dressed in her normal work out clothes and entered the Gym. She found the boxing bag that was hanging and started her workout there first. She used her marine training skills she learned over the years along with her Klingon training. She used the bag as an enemy.

She didn't hear nor see anyone enter the Gym as she was concentrating on her workout. She knew that she could only go so far, since she was pregnant so she was doing it light, but enough to draw up a sweat.

Lee walked into the gym needing to stretch out the muscles from the path to Kalehy when he noticed seeing General Dart working out. He had heard about her children being killed. He then walked over to her.

Jewel kept working out, still not noticing Lee in the room.

He cleared his throat to get her attention:"I just wanted to say am sorry for the loss of your kids General."

She got startled and about fell but corrected herself, she turned to see him. "Thank you Captain," Jewel said as she thought. 'Dang Intelligence Officers.' "Congratulations on your upcoming wedding." Jewel said as she decided to take a little break.

"Sorry to have startled you" He nodded:"Thanks and congrats to you on your upcoming wedding."

She looked at him and smiled, "Thank you," Jewel said as she grabbed a towel and wiped off her face.

"Care to join me in some Vulcan exercise?"

Raised an eyebrow, "Sure, what does it Intel?" Jewel asked as wasn't really familiar with Vulcan exercises. Granted she is 1/4 Vulcan she didn't really know much about that part of her as she was brought up more Klingon then anything.

He smiled:"Well I start with a lot of deep breathing stretches before going into it."

Raising an eyebrow, "Interesting." Jewel said as she would try it.

Lee started slowly with one:"I feel it helps me to calm and relax"

She nodded and did what he did, "I will try anything....well almost anything." she said as she thought about what she had said.

As they stretched:"I sense a lot of turmoil in you, care to talk about it?"

She looked at him, "I just got a lot on my mind," Jewel said as she looked at him.

"I am half Betazoid, sorry didn't mean to intrigue."

"It's fine Captain," She said as she wasn't sure what she was going to say next. "Just the wedding, the funeral, and now.." she stopped for a moment. "mine and Janice's father is coming and I haven't spoke to him since I found out he was my father." Jewel said as she looked at him. "I mean I contacted him and talk to him for awhile. I also invited him, guess I am just nervous." Jewel added as she looked at Pike.

Lee stopped and turned to her:"I also sense that you hate your father."

She looked down for a moment, "I do but I don't," Jewel said. "I did hate him for the longest time. But, now I am trying to get over that hatred I guess." Jewel stated looking at him as she sighed. "I am trying to let the past go...not so easy." She admitted.

Lee stood there and nodded:"No there are a lot of things that are in some people's past that are not easy to let go as some others."

She nodded, "I guess I am trying to look past it and try." Jewel said softly as he has actually gotten her to think about things.

"Have you ever told your father that you hate him?"

She thought for a moment trying to think if she actually told him that. After a few minutes, "Not that I can actually remember, I don't think I ever did tell him I hated him. Just that I was upset with him," Jewel said looking at him.

"I think you should sit down and have a very long talk with him and actually tell him."

"I think you would have made a good counselor," Jewel joked with a smile. "Never really thought about thing like this." Jewel said as she looked at him.

Lee shrugged:"It happens being half Betazoid, but I'd rather be out in the field."

She nodded, "so what's next?" she asked as she stood there looking at him, surprisingly her anger, hurt, and frustration was pretty much gone. She just stood there looking at him.

Lee chuckled:"Like said you talk to your father, then you live your life."

She nodded, "will when he arrives." She stated looking at him with a smile.

"If you ever need someone to talk to you know where to find me"

"Indeed Captain Pike," Jewel said with a smile. "Well I better get going and get some rest." Jewel stated.

Lee nodded:"I bid you good day then General Dart."

After they said there goodbyes Jewel walked out of the Gym and headed for her and David's quarters.

Lee then went about his workout.
