Finishing Some Work

Mission: Mission 84 - Blockade
Location: Diplomatic Office/Quarters
Timeline: After Family Values

Jewel was furious with what had just taken place so she went back to her quarters and quickly changed into her Brig General uniform and decided to cool off she go to the diplomatic office to file some reports, to do something other then nothing at the moment. Taking a deep breathe she exited her quarters and headed down the corridor.

"General," came an officer as they passed, "Lieutenant," came her reply.

She continue to walk down the corridor until she arrived at the Diplomatic Office. She entered to see Lieutenant McGinnis sitting at a little table working on different things. She seen the General walk in, "Where is General Jones?" she asked as she wasn't sure what was going on.

"He is ill and being transferred," she stated looking at the woman. "I guess I am in charge now," she said with a smile. "I am Lieutenant Junior Grade Sasha McGinnis a your diplomatic officer," she said with a smile and extended her arm towards the General.

"I am Brigadier General Jewel Dartt," Jewel stated shaking her hand in reply. "I'll be in my office going over reports and filing reports from the mission." Jewel stated. "Understood," McGinnis replied.

She nodded and entered her office and looked around the room, "Will have to do some redecorating," she said to herself as she looked at all of Jones' stuff sitting there. She walked out of her office and looked at Sasha, "Could you get me a crate and bring it into my office." Jewel asked.

"Right away sir," came the reply as Jewel entered her office and began to take his items down and placing them on her desk. Once Sasha got the crate she brought it into Jewel's office. "Here is the crate you asked for," Sasha stated.

"Thank you place it on the couch over there," Jewel replied as Sasha she set the crate on the couch. "Anything else?" she asked her. "Yes actually there is, please go to my quarters access code Dartt22, there is a small crate in my office by my desk could you bring that to me?" Jewel asked.

"Of course be back in a few," Sasha replied as she left. Jewel placed each item into the crate as carefully as she could. She hoped Jones all the best as she placed each item in there. When she finished she sealed the crate and placed it by the door.

Soon later Sasha entered her office with another crate, "here is the other crate you asked for," she said as Jewel took it and placed it on her desk. "Now one last thing and I'll let you be, please take Jones stuff and give it to the quartermaster he will know what to do with it." Jewel stated as she looked at her.

Sasha nodded and took the crate and left once more. Jewel opened the crate and seen her stuff, some of it were from her Klingon heritage and other stuff from her children. She started placing her items around the room and on her desk. It took her the next hour before she was pleased with how it looked. She placed the empty crate in a nearby closet and then sat down at her desk.

She turned her computer on and started going over reports and other items that seemed to have piled up. She also spent the next several hours writing her report from the mission. She worked late into the night, when she was finished she shut her computer off and walked out of her office to see that Sasha was already off duty.

She exited the Diplomatic offices and headed down the corridor towards her quarters. David was probably wondering were she was, She entered and noticed that David was already asleep she smiled and got ready and then climbed into bed which stired David she smiled and just kissed him, "It's just me my love," she stated as she cuddled next to him and was soon fast asleep.

Jewel woke up not being able to sleep, her stomach was bothering her so she kissed David on the forehead without waking him and got up and went out into the living area. She walked to the replicator and replicated herself a hot tea to see if that would ease the pain. She grabbed the cup and sat on the couch and slowly drank the tea.

She just sat there thinking, about the wedding, what just happened in the holodeck, being back to work. She sighed as she finished her drink, the pain went away and she went back to bed and cuddled next to David and fell back asleep again.
