Diplomat Coming in

Location: Vadm T'Lar's office
Timeline: Present

Andy finally had done it for a rouse of the destiny Starfleet had decided to promote him to flag. They had insisted that he wore the pink of diplomacy but he had said that he preferred to stay a marine.

He walked to the office of his former CO and pressed the chime.

"Enter." Deela was going over the reports of Hurd's rescue.

Andy entered to find the familiar face of his former CO there working as usual suddenly she looked at him

"I don't believe it. If it isn't Mr. Jones the second standing in front of me. What brings you here to Starbase 400?" Bremer and her hadn't time to talk so this was a major surprise.

"Well ma'am to be certain ... I'm back... Your new chief diplomatic officer", he said with a smile "I've also obtained flag level... Brigade General… to be truthfu,l they tried to make me a commodore but once a marine allways a marine," he said smiling.

"Well, congratulations. Have a seat. So you're our Diplomatic Officer. I just can't get over it. It's good to have you back."

"To be honest I think I'll enjoy it", he answered.

"I'm sure you will. I thought that I'd hate it but I've actually enjoyed it despite fighting with the pirates and Clark. I'll have to tell you about them sometime."

"Please go ahead", he answered.

"Here it is in a nutshell. I don't know how familiar you are about The Triangle. That's the area of space which is the corner between Federation, Klingon, and Romulan space. There, pirates have been reported to be there attacking ships, stealing roundabouts' weapon among other attacks. The man that was heading it name is Clark. Apparently, he is a member of Section 31. We've been trying to capture him for months and we finally have done so. We unfortunately lost a Klingon vessel and a few crewmen from the Steadfast. Fortunately, the Essex escaped with minimal damage." She sat back in her chair, "See what you missed?"

"Wow that's a lot... Lots of fighting... To be honest this is a treat to me... My own command.... The chance to be again with my old crew... And there's Adm Bremer... This should be interesting," answered the marine.

"Bremer and I have known each other for a long time. He's a good man and equally a good commanding officer." She added, "And there are perks to this job. Have you had a chance to look around the base?"

"Nope... Any place you want to recomend???", said Andy.

"I'll do better than that. I haven't eaten and I'm starve. I'll buy you lunch."

"Sure...", he said as they left T'Lar Office
