Mission:
Episode 121 - "Where There's A Section, There's A Way"
Location: Deezell and Jaxon's Quarters
Timeline: 48 hours the Party
Dee gently woke up. She carefully rolled onto her side—her large belly resting on the bed—to wake up Jaxon. Only, he wasn't there.
"Computer, lights," she commanded.
The room illuminated. She looked around.
"Jaxon?" she called out. No reply.
She got out of bed and waddled through their joint quarters looking for him. She thought he might be in the shower and hadn't heard her, but the bathroom was empty. That's when she saw the first of many clues: only her items were by the sink.
She returned to the main living area and began noticing other missing items. A picture, a couple of small ornaments, and a bottle of Sobrenta Brandy were gone.
Re-entering the bedroom, she slid open the closet to find only her clothes and uniforms. None of Jaxon's belongings were anywhere to be found. Panic rapidly built, and her pulse started to race. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her palms sweating.
"Computer, locate Jaxon Ruveer."
"Jaxon Ruveer is not aboard Starbase 400," the computer replied.
"When did he leave?" she asked, now starting to tremble with panic.
"Unknown. No records of his departure are on file," the computer replied.
It's at this point she actually woke up, frantic, sweating.
"Computer lights" the room illuminated .This time the duvet wasn't neat but moved clearly indicating that Jaxon had been there but wasn't there now.
"Jaxon" she yelled.
Jaxon could tell that Dee had a bad dream, as he approached her direction. He was just washing his hands, as leaned in and whispered closely to ear, trying not to startle her. "I'm here my love." He said, wondering what was going through her mind. He could see that she was up and glowing as ever. He was not certain if she was sleep walking or awake. He wanted to proceed cautiously.
"Oh thank god your here" she grabbed him into a hug, wrapping her arms around him. I dreamt you had left me, the station and no one knew where you had gone or why. I felt so alone." She paused. " Computer, time? "
*03:36 hours.*.
" Hmmm, Ensign Harris, in engineering says there's an ancient superstition that the hour from 03:00 is known as the witching hour and if you are woken by something frightening it means someone is wishing it upon you through sorcery and witchcraft. He's a great engineer but he does talk some nonsense." She added, still holding onto Jaxon.
"I don't think we have any witches on 400!" Jaxon suggested as he pulled her closer, noticing her clothes were damped with sweat. "I'm here baby." He simply said, as he continued to hold her
" I think I best take a quick shower and put on some fresh PJ's." Dee replied. " Totally different subject, yesterday three colleagues all asked for a date for when we plan to get married. I think we ought to think about that."
"A shower does sounds nice, as far as marriage the sooner the better. I know you want to wait till after the baby is born. I am willing to wait. Have you talked to your parents, mine would need a week to arrive on 400 unless you wanted to go back to Trill." Jaxon suggested to her.
"I haven't as yet but probably should. I think we should wait till after our baby is here. Hmm. Starbase 400 if Trill... Tough one." She began undressing for a shower.
Jaxon smiled as he walked closer to her. They were practically touching, as he started to undress. "Tough decision indeed, does your family have any preferences?" He asked, knowing his family would not have any preferences. His parents, just wanted to hold their grandson.
" I don't think they have a preference, well my mother certainly doesn't. She just wants the day to be special regardless. " They headed into the shower.
"So its up to us then." Jaxon said, with a warm smile on his face. "I like the idea of us getting married on Trill, over the beach maybe a sunset wedding." He suggested, as they stepped into the shower.
"That sounds absolutely amazing. Yes, we should definitely do that " Dee replied setting up the temperature for the shower.
"I know my parents will babysit so we could just have the moment to ourselves. A perfect honeymoon, on our home world." Jaxon said, as them looked into each other's eyes. "So it's settled, now I guess we just have to figure out who's going to officiate the wedding?"
" Yeah. Tricky one that. My mother does have contacts so maybe I can ask her if she knows someone who can perform the ceremony. Speaking of our honeymoon, ever been to the Yelreya Islands? "
"Once, when I was little. I barely remember it." Jaxon said honestly to her, he hoped that she would refresh his memory.
"The Yelreya Islands are a considered one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Trill and the place for weddings."
Jaxon grinned as they continued their shower. "Will they have beautiful waterfalls and nice warm bathing pools?" He asked, wanting to snuggle up with her, under a beautiful waterfall. He had never been there but he had heard about their waterfalls or waterfalls nearby that location. He was a kid the last time he had seen the location.
"Absolutely. Some so secluded they you don't need bathing wear."
She winked.
"I like the sound of that." Jaxon said with a big cheesy grin.
"I want to get married shortly after our child is born." He said, knowing she would probably not want to get married being pregnant.
She put her arms around him, her bump pressing against his abdomen.
" So do I. I am rarely 100% sure of things but on wanting to spend the rest of my life with you, as your loving wife, that I am 100% sure." She kissed him lovingly on his lips, savouring the moment.
"One month after the baby is born, we're going to get married." Jaxon pointed out, as the scene starts to fade away.
She holds onto him as they enjoy the shower together.
