Episode 119 - "Shattered Mirror"
Location: Mirror SB400
Timeline: Current
Admiral Bremer had just left with his people. A few others had gathered to do what they needed to do. Deela's plan was to find Jack of this universe but she needed SB400's computer to figure out where he was hiding. In order not to stick out, Deela's uniform and insignia of this universe was of a much lower rank. No one usually pays attention to an ensign. Deela wasn't worried about running into her counterpart either because she was dead.
As soon as they arrived on the base, Deela broke away from them and made her way to somewhere she wouldn't be noticed. But before she made it, she felt someone grab her by her arm. She went to defend herself, but when she saw who it was, she just stared for a moment. She couldn't believe it.
"What the?" She composed herself, "Jim, what are you doing here?"
Jim sighed, "I knew you'd show up here and since this is a base, I had no problem getting on here. I know we had a plan but there is something that you need to know."
"What is so important? Is it something about Jack's captor?" Deela was concerned.
"I found out that..." Just as he started to explain, he pulled her close and gave her a long kiss. Two security guards just shook their heads and laughed between them, "Ah, to be in love, isn't it great?"
"Deela, sorry about that. This corridor is too busy. Follow me." Once they cleared that corridor, he handed her what he was holding.
Deela looked at it, "A cloak? What is this for?" It reminded her of a story she heard once.
Jim sighed, "I know it's silly but you need to put it on." He knew she wouldn't put it on without an explanation. Before she could protest, he explained, "You know how we thought you counterpart was dead?"
"Thought? You personally said she was dead and you had proof." She was clearly confused.
Jim explained further, "I thought she was dead. I had proof but it was all untrue. She's alive and on base here. A part of her is dead though."
"This may work out afterall. I'll just change my uniform to match hers. In that way, if anyone sees me, I'll pretend to be her."
"One problem with that." He paused as he took a deep breath, "She and you don't look like each other, at least, not anymore. Question, if there was one thing you'd change about yourself, what would it be?"
"I don't know." She thought for a moment, "When I was a little girl, sometimes, I'd wish that I looked human. But that was when I was a child."
"Well, that's exactly what she did. She looks human now. She even got rid of those beautiful dark eyes. She had everything that made her Betazoid and Vulcan, extracted. So, you can't pass for her and you can't remain here to do whatever it was you were going to do here. I have transportation that I borrowed, waiting for us. This cloak will cover your ears and eyebrows."
Deela looked at the cloak, "You're right. And if anyone knows what she looked like before, they'll know I'm not from this universe." She put it on. They walked out of where they were and made their way to his ship. Deela took off the cloak. "So, what is the new plan? You DO have one?"
"The plan hasn't changed, just the where has. And I know exactly where he is now. He moved to another location incase you went looking for him. Look, there are a lot of people that want him dead who are eager to help me do it. He is bat shit crazy and he gets a kick out of torturing people and making them suffer. That's what he does. He's pure evil. He wants Jack to suffer and what is the best way to do that? Go for what he cares for most. You and your kids. Jack would never forgive himself if something happens to you all by his counterpart."
"Okay. Well, let's find him. If he wants me that bad, then let's give him what he wants." She sat in the chair on the bridge, next to him.
