Deezell got up from her bed after having an hour of relaxing music with one of her favourite incense sticks, called Dragon's Blood. She tapped her combadge.

Promenade Cafe

Vox arrived and spotted Ensign Lucas and made her way over, first to the replicator to get her usual Cortado and then back to the young Ensign's table where she took a seat.

She looked straight at Joanne.

"Look I'm sorry I lost my temper. There was no need for it at all. "

"I did loose an important tool though Sir. " Joanne replied.

"We are off duty right now so, please call me Deezell and yes you may well have done, name one engineer on this station who hasn't. Hell, I have done more than once. They are easily replicated again so its no big deal but I let issues with my family bothering get bottled up and I just lost it. I did not mean to do it. " Dee explained.

"S.. " she almost said sir but stopped herself "Deezell. It's OK, I understand. I am no counsellor but if you ever want to talk about it, I can listen." Joanne replied.

"That's so kind of you. I wouldn't want to burden you with my problems. I just my mother is interfering with local council affairs again and both myself and my father have told her more than once to leave them to it. But no, she thinks she knows better. Don't get me wrong, she has some good ideas but lacks the experience of how to put them across where they could be utilised. "

"My mother is exactly the same. Always interfering in other peoples affairs. " Joanne replied.

"No way. " Dee replied with a short laugh. "We love our mothers, without them we wouldn't be here or be the people we are today but boy can they be a nuisance sometimes. " Dee added

"Oh man, can they ever. " Joanne replied.

"So, no hard feelings then?" Dee asked.

"Of course not. If you want to meet up and have a good rant, I am happy to do so and join in." Joanna replied with a smirk on her face.

"I will drink to that." Dee replied raising and tapping her mug against Joanna's bright blue mug.

The two chatted for another hour and then parted company to get some rest before their shift the next morning.
