Mission: Episode 113 - No One Left Behind
Location: Starbase 400, Bremer's Office
Timeline: MD1 - 0830hrs

ON:

Mike was sitting in his office, leaning back in his chair, eyes closed, listening to a Klingon opera he'd been sent by General K'Val. It wasn't his favorite, but he was enjoying it nonetheless.

Suddenly the mood was broken when the comm beeped.

Mike tapped a button on his desk and stopped the music, then he opened his eyes and took a deep breath. "Bremer here."

"Sorry to bother you, but there's a priority communique coming in from Starfleet." Draven reported.

"Know what it is?" Mike asked.

"Negative, it's marked your eyes only." Draven replied.

Mike set up in his chair. "Send it through."

Mike's holo-display lite up with the Starfleet emblem. "Verify identity."

"Fleet Admiral Bremer, Mike K'Wor, authorization 4-7-Delta-Bravo."

The Starfleet logo vanished and the Head of Starfleet Security appeared.

"Commodore Oh, how can I assist?" Mike asked.

"Admiral, it has come to our attention that there may be Federation POWs being help by Romulans on Dewa II. I'm, requesting, Starbase 400 send a team to investigate. Bare in mind, Dewa is a reported Tal Shiar facility. Report your findings to me, directly." Commodore Oh explained.

Mike nodded. He didn't like the fact that Federation citizens were still being held this long after the peace treaty was signed. "Do you know what we can expect there? Ships? Troops?"

"No." Oh coldly replied before the channel closed.

Mike rolled his eyes. He didn't like Oh. He couldn't put his finger on it, but her rudeness went further than just 'cold Vulcan'.

Mike tapped a button and Draven replied a moment later.

"What do you know about the Dewa system?" Mike asked.

After a moment, Draven replied, "Romulan system near the 'transit corridor'. Reported to be a Tal Shiar facility on Dewa II and a small shipyard in orbit of Dewa VI specializing in smaller craft. However, the Romulan Republic reported that the Dewa II facility was actually manned by Zhat Vash operatives, not Tal Shiar."

Mike nodded as he thought for a moment.

"What's going on?" Draven asked.

"We're being sent to verify if Federation POWs are being held there." Mike replied.

"It would be a good place. Dewa II is Class K. They have a few surface enclosures but most of the base is below surface. The planet's atmosphere has low level radiation that interferes with sensors and the bed rock doesn't help. It would be a good place to grab a few more Starfleet Officers too." Drave explained.

Mike nodded.

"If the Romulans aren't forth coming and we have to send away teams they will be at a serious disadvantage to the defenders. During the war, Starfleet and the Klingons raided it three times, none were considered successful." Draven explained further.

"Then we need to go in force. nine ships...Pegasus, Yorktown, Saratoga, Endeavor, Cutlass, Tripitz, Tyr, Ark Royal, and Buccaneer. We'll try to conduct a recon, get an idea of what we're facing...then try to negotiate a peaceful solution. If that doesn't work, we'll march in." Mike explained. "I'll have Admiral T'Lar and the Essex, Luna, George Washington, Falcon, Kearsarge, Constantinople, and Conqueror standing by in case we need an assist.

"Alright, I'll work something up." Draven replied. "Will Lennox be leading the Marines?"

Mike nodded. "He'll command the Saratoga. I know he doesn't want to be the Division Commander, but until one is assigned, he's it. However, I want to be sure there are POWs there before we commit forces. I don't want to give them any."

"Understood." Draven replied.

"We'll depart tomorrow night. I'll work up ship assignments now and send them out tonight." Bremer out.

Mike leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath.
