Mission: Episode 109 - The Dust Settles
Location: USS Buccaneer
Timeline: Present

Grian stepped into engineering to find a whole group of her engineers gather together in the middle of the room. They were all shouting and suggesting ideas on how to fix something, from what she could make out. No one had yet noticed she was even there.

Then, one young engineer, an ensign noticed her, sprang to attention and shouted "Captain in Main Engineering" Well, you have never seen so many people spin around and stand to attention so fast in your life.

"Woah, at ease please before sickbay is overwhelmed with sprains. " Grian advised with a smile.

"What's going on here? " she asked "Looks interesting" She added.

The chief engineer approached the captain. Lieutenant Commander Deelil Lobhan, also a joined Trill., had a smile on her face.

"Welcome to engineering captain. We have a minor issue with the updates to the warp core and we are just trying an idea casting session to find a way to sort it out.

"So, what exactly is the issue.?" Grian enquired.

"Based on simulation data from the new core, there appears to be an issue when we pass warp 4, as in the inertial dampers become unstable and there is a real risk of the ship crashing out of warp. " Lobhan advised.

"No offence Chief, but I would not describe that as a minor issue. More like a major issue f I am honest. " Grian replied.

"Indeed captain but in my book, I have had a lot worse. However, I think we might have solved it and so we about to give a fix a try, suggested by Lieutenant Rogers. " Lobhan replied.

"Well, I will leave you to it. Carry on. " Grian replied and with that, she left and headed back to the bridge.
