Mission:
Episode 119 - "Shattered Mirror"
Timeline: DO NOT POST!!!!!!!!!
Bremer: Hey everyone! Episode 119 is live! PLEASE read the post I just sent to start things off. If you have specific questions let me know. We are now in early 2402, about six months after Episode 118 ended and after the events of Picard Season 3 (but before the Enterprise-D joined the fleet museum and the Enterprise-G launched). This episode features the Mirror Universe again!
Bremer: Hey everyone! Please welcome my friend Nicolas to Starbase 400. He'll be playing Commodore Korok, Delta Team CO in the Special Operations Group and CO of the USS Ladny, a Gagarin class ship. He's an old school simmer looking to get back into writing. I'm also going to repost the first post for Episode 119.
Xalanth: Greetings, Commodore Korok please feel free to stop by security for a chat.
Bremer: Back from my lil vacation. I see a few posts, great! I'll get the main plot flowing next week (mon or tue) to give time for everyone to post some kind of 'current' update on their character(s) and for our new member to post his arrival.
Bagwell: Are we doing another time jump after this mission and if so how long is the future?
Bremer: After 119? No, at least no more than 'a couple of weeks or a month' kind of thing. We're all caught up and back to our usual 1:1 year.
Anna Bagwell: Welcome Commander Korok. Glad to have you on board! The doctor is in should you need to see her.
Monroe-Wayne: Welcome aboard Andrew (Korok)
Bremer: I'm glad to see a few posts coming in. I apologize for my absence, work and family have been busy with all sorts of things including a lil vacation and birthdays (not mine lol). I'm going to try to get a post out this weekend or early this week moving the plot forward. If you want your character or NPC to go to the mirror universe PM me please.
Bremer: I've been under the weather, flu is going around bad here.
O’Riley,: yeah it’s going around here too. Snows melting nicely here in Vermont though. If anyone cares to do a JP let me know or feel to start one and I’ll follow.
Bremer: I wholeheartedly apologize to everyone for my time away. Between illness, work, family, etc I've let things slack around here. I did start writing a plot post to turn into a JP and it got lost when my work laptop died. At any rate, I'm starting back on it today and should, Lord willing, have part posted by Wed and the JP shared the same day.
O’Riley. Sorry I haven’t been around. Had a car accident a few weeks ago that put me in the hospital for a few days, and then I was put on paid administrative leave.
Monroe-Wayne: Hope you’re feeling better now hun. :)
Bremer: Hey everyone. I know I sound like a broken record lately...but I am sorry I haven't had the time I usually do for, well, much of anything online. My oldest is about to graduate Highschool and there's been sooo much to do with that, getting her ready for college, etc etc. Not to mention everything else that goes with 3 teenagers in highschool and end of year, work, etc etc. I am glad we've had replies to the JP I started and I will get things moving again.
Vox: I hope I don't speak out of line here and I'd like to think everyone will agree with me when I say that we totally understand and no need to apologise. Real life should take priority over online games. You do so much for Starbase 400 and all of us so we greatly appreciate you. Send a big congratulations to your oldest on their graduation from all of us.
T'Lar: Ah, the memories, LOL. I remember those days. Yes, family comes first. Enjoy your kids while you can. In the blink of an eye, they grow up, with lives of their own. Sorry, it's my birthday so I'm feeling nostalgic. Anyway, again, congrats.
Monroe: Happy Birthday Mel! As for you Mike no worries, my daughter is currently doing her year 6 Sats ready for high school in September and my son starts his A-level exams on Friday so it’s all go here too!
Xalanth: Take your time boss. We can wait till your ready.
Bremer: Hey everyone! Happy Birthday Mel, I'm sorry I missed it. :( Finally, school year is done, Graduation is over, and I have a little more free time again, lol. I'll be updating the JP many of your are a part of today and this weekend (Saturday) I'll be making some updates to the LCARS site too! Thank you all for your understanding.
T'Lar/Mel: Thanks. It's okay, I get it. I'm just glad that the school year is over. I've been playing Uber driver for my granddaughter.
Bremer: Hey everyone. I know I sound like a broken record...but I have to apologize for my lack of being around. Work has been crazy, but I've also had some personal issues. I was ill for a bit, then my oldest daughter was in the hospital for a sudden cardiac issue, then my dad was back in the hospital for something related to his Parkinsons. I haven't had much time to do much of anything online...so posting, site updates, social media for SB400 has all suffered and I apologize. I am thankful to those of you that have kept posting...please continue. Friday, I will get something out on all social media platforms and I'll also get a post out to move things along. I thank you all for sticking around, and I wouldn't be mad at anyone that feels the need to step away.
Sammi: I am still here and am not going anywhere. May and June are crazy months for me work wise as it is the end of our fiscal year at work. I have not been around that much as well and I appreciate the understanding. On top of that I have a husband with some health issues and have dealt with some family things. You take care of yourself and your family, Mike, they come first. We will be here to support you. Prayers for all as well.
McWire: I am here too and won’t go any where. Take of your family. ☺️
Vox - I echo Percy`s comment. I love being here and the people here. I am staying put. Take care of yourself and family. We all have your back.
Coleman-I'm still here as well. I've had some personal stuff come up over the last six months or so that I've been navigating myself. So, I can understand. Take care of your family and make sure that they're good and we'll be here when it's all sorted out.
Jeksenri - I'm still here, working on getting more active here. Unicorn has really taken off, so that's been a good chunk of my time but your resident historian and Kitty Lieutenant Colonel (Sam Kyle) is here and ready.
Mel/T'Lar: I was just thinking about you yesterday too. I'm always here for you if you need anything concerning SB400. We all agree that family comes first so don't worry about us. As you can see, we're all staying. I hope your daughter and father are doing better. Prayers for you and your family.
Monroe: I’m still here, wasn’t sure what to be doing with Ariana besides a million counselling sessions lol
I'm still here. And a fun summer so far. A lot of scouting activities. Love my daughter but she's a little bit over and overachiever. With that said I'm still here.
Bremer: Okay...let's get this show moving again! I'm going to post at least a lil something to get the plot going again. Thank you all for sticking around!
Bremer: Hey everyone. I know this episode is stalled and it's my fault, again I apologize for letting you all down. With everything IRL going on my drive has been low. We all go through it. However, there is alittle news. Ed is making some server changes soon and the SB400 sites will be offline, hopefully not for long. Once everything is back online I'll reach out to you all here, on Discord, and on social media. In the meantime, I'm trying to work on time a little better and getting into a better headspace to write. Thanks everyone
Bremer: Hey everyone...as many of you know I live in South Carolina and Hurricane Helene caused extreme damage here and just north of us in NC and TN. I've been through many hurricanes and never seen this much damage from one that didn't hit SC directly. Personally, we got power back yesterday. We do have some damage to trees, fencing, but miraculously not to our house. I can't say the same for friends and family, many of who are still without power. Now, we're facing shortages of essentials like water, food, and gasoline. I know this comes on the tail of many other things over that last few months that have kept me offline, but I promise you Starbase 400 is still active, going strong, and will be back to our usual ship discussions, fan fiction, and humor. Until then, prayers are welcome. Thank you
Mel/T'Lar: Sorry to hear that. Glad that you are okay. Fortunately, the part of Georgia I live in, didn't get much damage from it. Lots of non-stop rain and those loud alerts on my grandson's phone kept me up. We are now dealing with a biolab where a fire broke out where I am and we are now dealing with a shelter-in-place order. All businesses are closed. Who knows how long it will be in place. I'm going to go stir crazy here. When it rains, it pours and destroys. When a biolab breaks out with a major fire, we shut everything down. This is crazy. I dare not to ask the obvious next question.
Vox: I'm still here and eager as always. That being said, I had minor surgery on Wednesday so I'm recovering. Would love a little writing to get my mind off of current discomfort.
Vox: I'm in for your post Camron. Count me in.
Bremer: Thank you all for putting up with me, my delays, and honestly maybe even some burnout with everything that's been going on this year. I'm optimistic for December and 2025 and ready to get moving forward. I'm also rewatching Picard S3, that's helping the creative juices too lol. I'm going to jump us ahead slightly to the point we're ready to go to the mirror universe. I've thought of something to do I really didn't consider before, but, what the hell! You'll see near the end of the episode. I won't expect much out of everyone for the remainder of this episode either. Why? I can't hold you all to a standard I didn't meet, however I hope everyone jumps in. I'll keep the 'beam over' vague, so if you want your character involved there that's fine or if you want them to stay on 400 that's fine too. However, once we wrap up this episode and move on to Episode 120 we'll be back to our normal activity standards.
Monroe-Wayne: I’m still here.
Vox: Standing ready for some action, Sir.
Bremer: Thanks y'all. As you see, my post yesterday kind of left it open to you all if you want your character(s) to be on SB400 or to beam over to the Mirror SB400 to cause havoc as well as keeping it open for all of the little side plot ideas you guys have sent me over the last few months. I can't wait to see what you write!
Bagwell: I'm still with you Mike and so is Sammi. She currently has bronchitis, but she is on the recovery now. We plan on getting a post out shortly.
Bremer: Hope you feel better Sammi! And to tell you all how out of practice I am...I make some site updates over the weekend...then forgot to upload the updates... :( lol
Bremer: It's SNOWING on https://starbase400.org/lcars.html! Welcome to December everyone. Not only are we gearing up for the Holidays but I've updated our Episode 119 logs, added a new story, 'The Secret' by
Mary Moss (one of our Patreon members) to the FanFic section, and added updates to our Historical Timeline! More to come, including a update to the LCARS panel!!
Bremer: Hey everyone! I know Christmas and Hanukkah is upon us. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. I would ask that we keep this episode moving forward...so please post either your character(s) adventure when beaming to the mirror universe SB400 or what you're doing on SB400. I don't want us to pause again if we can help it. Also, I have a Q&A with Sam Witwer I'm working on (such a cool guy) and Mel is working on a new video intro for us. I'm also working with someone for a new feature for https://starbase400.org/lcars.html, so there is a lot going on! Lastly, if you have a Fan Fiction story or even a mission you wrote for another sim before it merged with SB400 (Essex, Conqueror, etc) send it to me and I'll get it added to the Fan Fiction section and post it on social media!
