595 words; about a 3 minute read

Mission: Episode 107 – Recovery
Location: Sam’s Quarters
Timeline: MD02 1900 hrs

Sarah had had a long day, there were some things she wanted to get done on the Falcon for when they headed out again. She had taken a shower and was just going to stay in for the night but Sam was on her mind.

Deciding she would go on impulse, Sarah headed to see what Sam was up to. She could have just contacted him but she wanted it to be a surprise. Stopping outside his quarters, she pressed the buzzer and waited for him to answer, hoping he was home.

Sam was at home, he had a feeling that it was Sarah. He walked over to the door, and was happy to see her lovely face."I was just thinking of you." Sam said, with a big grin on his face.

“Great minds think alike,” Sarah smiled. “I wanted to see if you were free so that we could spend some time together.”

"I am free." Sam said, trying not to sound pathetic or desperate. He too wanted to spend time with her.

Sarah’s face lit up. “I was a little nervous you might think I was too forward but this is who I am.”

"What are you nervous about, its just dinner isn't it?" Samn asked, wondering what else she had on her mind.

“In the past I have been accused of coming on too strong,” Sarah explained. “Like my showing up instead of waiting to hear from you.”

"Strong women can be a lot of fun." Sam said, almost instantly regretting saying that. His intention was clear on that. It was a sex reference. "You should never hide who are you." He said, hoping that took some of the heat off the comment he just made.

“You have experience with strong women huh?” Sarah teased him with a grin. “A man of many talents.” She paused for a moment. “That was what I decided, I need to just be me.”

"That's all I have ever wanted you to be, was you." Sam said, with a loving warm smile on his face.

Sarah leaned forward and kissed him. Then she smiled at him. “I have wanted to do that all day as well.”

"What stopped you?" Sam asked with a playful grin on his face. Her kiss was very nice. He had also wanted to kiss her all day long.

“My past mistakes,” Sarah confesses. “Dating men who wanted to change me instead of embrace me.”

"I hate people like that, because once you change them. You loose interest in them. It's a double standard, that always ends badly. For both sides." Sam pointed out.

“I could never figure out why,” Sarah said with a smile. “I mean when you like someone it is for who they are, changing them changes that.”

"Some people are control freaks, they like being in control. They can not help, who they are." Sam pointed out to her.

“You have that right,” Sarah smiled at him. She didn’t want to talk about the past anymore. “So what do you want to do?”

"I have no idea, I dont really care, as long as your there. I want to be there." Sam said, trying to sound cute, but yet put it back on her to decide.

“How about we order a pizza and come back here,” Sarah asked. She wanted some alone time with him.

"Yes." Sam said, as the scene starts to fade away.

Sarah ordered their food and smiled as Sam placed his hand in hers and they headed to get their pizza.
