Holly wasn't one to give herself much down time but when she did it was a rare site to see. Naturally her leave was spent in her quarters sleeping or reading. Socializing wasn't her strong suit and so she didn't engage in it especially in a new environment such as the starbase. Getting ready for duty was natural to her and she did it with speed that could be almost considered non-human. A sigh and a shake of her head and she was off to find starbase operations and the operations department position there. She wanted this lady to get to know her and understand they would be a team working together as soon as it would be possible.
Going out of her quarters was simple navigating the bowls of a starbase well that wasn't quite as simple. There was more decking to get lost on and less people around to really ask for directions. She had to rely on the computer and her own instincts to get her to where she needed to be. First a turbo lift then to the operations center. That took her all of but fifteen minutes and she thought about how that would impact emergency response time and went about trying to figure out a better way to one not get lost fifty times and two get up to operations without having to really stress herself out. That produced another sigh out of her and an eye roll as now she was flat out getting to see what starbase life was going to do to her.
Getting to operations she saw who appeared to be a science officer at the science decking talking to someone over the comm. and smiled just a bit when he darted off like a jack rabbit down the turbo lift to the decking below. They were always busy the scientists and the station didn't seem to be any different than the rest. Giggling just a bit to herself she found operations and the read out of the current power output of the station and where power was going to and where it wasn't noting the ratios as this appeared to be daily operations standards. There was no alarm in the person who was explaining to her what was going on so she guest this to be the normal for the station. There was one ship missing and the senior Captains as well were missing in action but other than that there really wasn't anything to alert Holly that the station was in danger or that there was much of anything going on. So, she settled down and got to work on the very time consuming task of getting to know the panel and where everything was and what it all did.
