Croesus was fond of his Klingon heritage and wasted no time visiting the new emporium on the station. Recently returned from his Cardassian exploits , Korel had secured enough funds to expand his shop, now venturing into food and gaming.

Croesus having accepted his new slot a Chief of Operations invited his fellow operations officers to join him there for a meet and greet.

" nuQneH Commander. Are you new here?" Vagh , the wife of Korel, greeted.

" Not exactly. I am meeting members from my department here. Can we get a table?"

Nick arrived and saw the Commander. They had met before, but never really worked together.

"Commander Croesus. I'm Lieutenant JG Victor Clayton." He extended his hand. "I believe Maxwell and Ramero will be here in a moment. I saw them coming this way from across the Promenade. Lieutenant Archer was sent on a mission aboard the Vanguard overnight"

" Glad to have you Lieutenant. The quisine should be interesting, Grab a drink and join me at the table." Croesus replied.

When the others arrived Croesus alloted them to eat and drink and converse for a few minutes.

" I am Croesus your new ops chief. I am a long time fleeter. I have been recon, intel , black ops,engineering, science and now ops. Our job is quite probably one of the most important. We have an entire quadrant reliant on us and our station. I am honored to serve as your chief and look forwards to our next challenge." Croesus greeted.




A few minutes later Vagh returned with refills.

" Blood wine, compliments of Korel. He is away on a trading venture. "

" Thank you. Please thank him for me." Friday's replied.

Croesus then turned to his staff. " We have a lot of work to do. The Reman attack was probably just the beginning of a campaign. No doubt we all will be very busy very soon. Work as a team and we will be successful everytime. QAPLA! " he envoked .

The gathering went on for a while longer and then everyone returned to their rooms.

Croesus was glad to be back to work and looked forward to his first day back on the job with this team.
