== USS Avenger-A - Bridge ==

Ryan sat on the bridge of the USS Avenger after a day of what seemed to be interrogation, and a rough one at that. He watched as they orbited earth. There were a lot of memories of earth and the Academy. Ryan wanted to enjoy his time here and make sure things worked out for the new Avenger. Ryan had already relayed Starfleet's orders to the USS Cairo. He forgot how hard it could be to get a hold of the General.

As Ryan awaited the report from engineering on the status of the Avenger, helms console beeped.

"Sir, incoming message from Admiral Bremer."

"Send it to my ready room. Lieutenant Johnson, you have the bridge."

Ryan stood up and proceeded to his ready room. He wondered if they were getting new orders.

== Ready Room ==

Ryan took a seat and opened the message. It read:

"1900 hours, my personal residence. You are all invited to a cookout. This even will be informal and not required. However, you just might have a good time swimming, boating, eating, and getting to know your fellow crew members. You're welcome to bring any family or friends that you wish. Hope to see you tonight."

Not something to expect from the Admiral. The invitation was enticing. He could use some informal time to get to know the crew. Ryan prepared for the event. He exited his ready room.

== USS Avenger -A - Bridge==

"Lieutenant Johnson, I am going to head down to Earth. We have enough crew to man the bridge. Why don't you take a break and head down to Earth yourself?"

The Lieutenant look reluctantly.

"Sir, I will have to decline sir. I have...."

"Let me put it this way Lieutenant, it is an order."

Lieutenant Johnson was appalled that he had been ordered to take a break.

"Aye sir."

"Good."

Ryan proceeded to his quarters to get into something more comfortable.

== Transporter Room 1 ==

Ryan stepped onto the transporter.

"Chief, set coordinates to Admiral Bremer's Residence."

"Coordinate set sir." The Chief Replied

"Energize."

== Earth - Admiral Bremer's Residence ==

Once Ryan arrived, he looked around. He had never been to the Admiral's place. It was a very nice location. It reminded him of his youth. Things rarely did that with Ryan.
