Timeline: MD3 0830hrs, 'The Return to Familiarity'

ON:

Once the Avenger docked, Mike made his way from Ops to the docking bay and aboard her. Entering the Bridge, he didn’t see Captain Greenwood. All that were present were two Officers, a small damage control team, and his son.

Mike stayed back and watched K’Wor working on the Tactical console. “Chief, I’ve been able to relink and synchronize the main tactical interface.” K’Wor said to one of the damage control team members.

“Thanks Cadet.” The man looked back and smiled before seeing the Fleet Admiral standing in front of the turbolift doors.

“Admiral on the Bridge!”

“As you were.” Mike quickly replied.

K’Wor stepped away from Tactical and walked over to his Dad, giving him a hug. “I’m glad you made it home.”

“I’m glad you made it home.” Mike said back and flashed a smile. “Where’s the Captain?”

“Captain Greenwood is with Mister Stark in Engineering looking over the full damage report. We took a beating, especially when the Hub exploded...but we’re in good shape compared to the Odin.” K’Wor replied.

“I saw her damage report before leaving Ops. Her wounded are being transferred to the Station’s Sick Bay now.” Mike replied as he looked around.

A moment later, he added, “I’m off duty for thirty-six hours, and you and Becca have to return to the Academy soon thereafter, so let’s spend some family time together until you have to leave.”

K’Wor smiled, “I’d like that.” He walked over to the Operations station, tapped in a few commands, then back to Tactical, sent a message to Captain Greenwood that he was disembarking, then signed out of the that station.

The two then left the Avenger and returned to the Station.
