Mission: Mission 87 - Disaster
Location: Diplomatic Office
Timeline: MD2-1830h (During/After Investigation)

"Lieutenant Keikeya and Ensign Nakamura please meet me in the Diplomatic Office immediately." Jewel ordered over the comm channel as she made her way down the the diplomatic office's.

Once she arrived she sat down and waited for the two to arrive before she placed the call to the Crown Prince. She needed to talk to them about what's going on.

"On my way," Billy replied after tapping on his communicator. He was relieved to get a break from trying to negotiate a prisoner exchange between a couple of opposing species that didn't trust each other and thus was less than cooperative with him. He called for a recess, closed the comms and left his own office to meet with Jewel.

When he arrived at Jewel's office he stated, "Reporting as ordered, General."

She looked up, "Thank you for coming we are awaiting Ensign Nakamura then I will get started with I called both of you here." Jewel stated as she looked at him.

Hoshi hurried in, praying that if she was sweating then it wasn't showing through her uniform. What was wrong with her lately? " My deepest apologies, sir, I'm sorry to be late. Ensign Nakamura, reporting as ordered General." She smiled sheepishly as she brushed back a loose strand of hair that had fallen from her bun.

She looked up, "Your fine Ensign," Jewel replied as she looked at her. Please both of you have a seat, we have a situation at hand that I been asked to Contact the Crown Prince on C'hakilian." She stated as she went on to explain what happened to Admiral Bremer, after that she both looked at them.

"I know your wondering why I called both of you here is I want both of you to sit on the call to have another set of eyes and ears." She added.

"Understood," Billy replied as he pulled out a seat and sat down. He looked to the newest addition to the department and extended his hand to her, "Welcome aboard, Ensign. I'm Lt.(JG) William Keikeya Jr. but everyone just calls me Billy."

" Well, it's very good to meet you, Billy." Hoshi replied warmly, shaking his hand as she sat down. " You can call me Hoshi, if you like."

She then tapped the computer to place the call to the Crown Prince, she waited to be connected to someone.

Yulara had been on Earth for 14 days. She didn't particularly like it, but serving as the o-okanen for His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince Yinsil, was a very high honor. She'd learned that on Earth, the position was not as glorious as it was on the homeworld. Here, on this planet, she was called a secretary. She looked over at the console as a light flashed. A request for active communication lines.

She pressed it, and spoke with somewhat of a heavy accent, "C'hakilian Royal Embassy. How may I assist you?"

"Yes, I am Brigadier General Jewel Hurd Chief Diplomatic Officer aboard Starbase 400. I need to speak to Crown Prince Yinsil, this is an urgent matter." Jewel stated looking at the woman on the other end.

The woman nodded, "One moment." She put the general on a holding line and a few minutes later came back, "Sorry about the wait. The Prince will take your call. Please hold while I transfer you."

Yinsil was sitting in his office looking out over Manhattan when he pressed the button to connect the holding call. He looked at the woman and spoke, "General Hurd. I was expecting Admiral Sevlek. I assume you've been assigned to liaise with me while the Admiral handles other matters?"

She raised an eyebrow, "I am not sure what Admiral Sevlek has planned, I am sure he will still be in contact with you. I am calling on a different matter," Jewel stated looking at him seriously. "First off, this is my Assistant Lieutenant Keikeya and our diplomatic officer Ensign Nakamura. They will be sitting in on this call as well." She stated looking at him.

"There has been an incident aboard Starbase 400 during the delegations with the Krazzle." She stated then went on to explain everything that had happened to the Admiral, after she finished talking she looked at him. "We were able to trace the drug used back to C'hakilia. So my question, and I need you to be honest with me. Did you sanction this attack? We have reasons to believe but not a hundred percent sure the attack wasn't against the Admiral, but the Krazzle delegation." She asked in a serious tone.

She hated this part, didn't want to start anything with the C'hakilian's as this was a serious matter. But, this was part of her job to figure out who did this and why.

Yinsil raised his eye ridges. "I just learned who Admiral Bremer was a few days ago. I have no knowledge of any plot involving his death. Honestly, I have no knowledge of anyone planning the death of any of the Krazzle retinue currently aboard Starbase 400." The Crown Prince looked off to his right and nodded, "However, I can tell you there are around 90 plants that grow on C'hakilia that could be deadly to anyone with human genetic material when they are processed down."

She nodded, she wasn't sensing he was lying or deceiving her. She sighed as they were no closer to figuring this out then before. "Thank you Crown Prince Yinsil. Sorry to have disturbed you, I am sure Admiral Sevlek will be in contact with you soon. Thank you for your cooperation," Jewel stated looking at the Prince.

"Of course, general. I am sorry I could not be of any further assistance. If I learn anything else, I will forward that information to you. Good day." Yinsil closed the comm and went back to his daily routine.

As the comm channel went off she sighed, "I wasn't finding any sign he was lying or deceiving us." She stated as she looked at the others. "I am going to contact Captain Bremer and let him know." Jewel stated as she looked at both of them.

"They seem to believe that the attack was aimed at our Admiral and not the delegation. That is what their statement regarding the 'human genetic material' and the plants implies. I wonder if that is what they want us to think, too, or if that was their completely honest opinion and information. But all right." Hoshi nodded.

"I didn't detect any deception either. He's a Price, if he were responsible he'd have no fear of admitting it as we'd have to get passed his troops to get to him which would be no easy task," Billy replied.

"Right now I want you to keep going over the information you have on whats going on and see if you find anything that might help." Jewel ordered as she needed to get back to the bridge.

"I'll get back on the horn with the wardens of the Krazzle and C'hakilia prisons and try to get this prisoner exchange to go through. One of them is refusing because he can't trust that the other side will uphold their end of the bargain. Do I have permission to say if it doesn't go through that Admiral Bremer would be most displeased and that the side instigating the hold-out won't have just the other side to worry about, but the Federation as well? Or is that too much?" Billy asked.

She looked at him, "No right now lets not worry about the prisoner exchange, I believe Admiral Sevlek is already taken care of that. I just want you to keep an eye on things for changes." Jewel stated as she got up and then walked out of the office and left to talk to K'Temoc.
