Stardate 81022.7. Admiral Deela T'Lar's personal log:
We still haven't heard from the crew of the USS Perseus. We have no idea what the status is on the other side of the conduit. I don't know if they are alive, captured, or on their way back. I have tried to contact them but I don't think we can. I'm wondering if the conduit is preventing it. I have crew members asking if we are planning to go back to Starbase 400 any time soon. I don't have an answer for them.
I don't normally worry about things. All my Vulcan training has gone out the window, as they say. My dad would be disappointed in me but who cares anymore.
The good news is that the damaged ship has been towed back to base and the rescued crewmembers have been safely returned to their friends and family. Now, only if I can be sure that our crewmembers are safe. I do worry that the conduit will close again and our crewmembers won't be able to get back.
I miss my daughter and wish that they would return soon. If they don't get back tomorrow, I may have to abandon this place and get back to Starbase 400 to get a ship small enough to go through the conduit and find them. Might not be the right decision but I'm getting tired of waiting. Many feel the same way.
I'm going to try to reassure everyone that we won't be waiting much longer. Not sure if I can sell it to them but we need to give it a little more time. I'm going to check on Vox. She had a bad experience but she held her own and I'm proud of her.
Well, it is time to get back to worrying. I pray that they come back soon and are safe.
