"It's with some apprehension that I'm about to report to the Chief Engineer and start my tour of duty here at Starbase 400. Not that I'm not honoured for the chance to look about her insides some more eh."

"Been going over the engineering staffs records and some of them are...well interesting, I reckon. But I don't believe I could find a more dependant and determined group to serve with, this side of the sector. They've seen some things."

"Speaking of determined. Still surprised at my rapid advancement. Especially since this means I'm now ahead of at least three Engineers who may have deserved this billet, rather then a newcomer. So much for starting out in the background. Maybe..."

"I'm sure some Human saying should come to mind, but I've never been good with talking for the long-term, so whatever. All I can do is keep up with the standards the engineering department has performed."

"Right, enough self motivation. Time to get my hands on some hardware."
